Why do you search for religion?

I see a difference between "religion" and "spirituality".

To me, religion is my exoteric, ritualistic, and communal side - in short, my identifiable features. It is a small, despite how big it is for others, part of my esoteric, inner spiritual side.

Why do I search for "religion"? For community on the outside, and inner spirituality on the inside. I don't, however, believe that any religion has a monopoly on truth, or the whole truth, or even is mostly truth. Religions are influenced by the original society's culture, myth, history, superstition, important characters throughout society and history, and so on. In addition, religions are developed--and still being developed and shaped by the ones of the nations in which they adapt to.

This doesn't mean I see religions as 'false', though. They are just different expressions of cultural baggage one uses in attempt to search for the Divine Ultimate - something which I believe is beyond all such stories, conceptions, anthromorphisms, prophets and so on.

I suppose it could be compared to one being a member of a political party because they subscribe to a political ideology that this party subscribes to.

It doesn't matter if you create your own religion.
All religions are legitimate if they provide Soul with a step to God.
It only matters that you get what you personally need spiritually.

for anyone who has had experiences which qualify as mystical or supernatural, or otherwise really out of the ordinary in a spiritualistic kind of way, this genre provides the only maaterial which discusses the topic, even though it has become terribly biased.....
and, where else would one meet kindred spirits?
