Why did God send Satan to us instead of hell.

Why did God send Satan to us instead of hell.

Some believe that God and Satan disagreed on thing and the Satan was evil and out of control.
Why send him and his third of angels to pester us.
Would God’s job not be easier if He had sent them elsewhere.
They would not have fornicated with humans and the reason for the flood would have been avoided. No giants to drown.

In this way God would not look like a genocidal maniac.
Instead of killing millions including innocent children and babies in a flood, why not just create a new earth for the eight that He thought were worthy and let the old earth just be? It could not look any worse than hell.
Two blemishes on His record is just as telling as two. You would think that a new earth would be better than Him breaking His own laws.

Why pit these supernatural beings against weak humans.

You're getting caught up in the details. It's kind of like someone who hears Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and gets all worked up because reindeer can't really fly or even talk. That's how a naive, literal view can cause people to miss the point.

Look at the story more as a mythological allegory (full of the same kind of poetic license inherent in most mythology) to explain the existence of evil.

Granted, it's not a great explanation, but it gives people a common set of cultural imagery.

Stop questioning God's methods! He works in mysterious ways; end of.

That just means that you are too mentaly lazy to think things through.

If God is keeping secrets it is no wonder some think so many are going to hell.

God sent satan to us to give people an excuse to blame their sins on. Satan however you look at it also provides a scapegoat for people looking to unload their guilt for committing sins.

The only problem with that view is that in Job, Satan is clearly seen as being under God's power. Blaming Satan is then the same as blaming God.

Greetings!

In fact, IOV God is Supreme and without equal, partner, or competitor! There is thus no "devil" out to get us.

And "satan" simply refers to our own lower (animal) nature when we give it control instead of our higher (spiritual) nature.

There is thus no "satan" to bother us unless we choose to inflict this upon ourselves!

Best regards, :)

That is true. I was referring to people using the phrase "the devil made me do it" to wash away their guilt, as if they cannot accept that they have comitted a sin so they blame satan so they do not feel guilty. So So weak.

Satan was not an angel by the way, as angels do not have free will

Satan was a "jinn", which are different from angels:

- Angels were created from light and don't have free will

- Jinn were created from fire and do have free will

Satan thought he was better than Adam, and arrogance made him disobey God's command to prostrate to Adam

Because of that, Satan was expelled from God's Mercy and became a fierce enemy of Adam and his descendents ...

First, if you believe in God, then you must be sure he is almighty and that the purpose of his acts might be beyond our knowledge.

If you believe in God, you don't question him.

Second, that is why there is the hereafter, where everything will be sorted out.

81-8 ''And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked''
81-9 ''For what sin she was killed''

A 'child who is killed in a flood' will definitely go to heaven rightaway, maybe if he/she lived longer then he/she would be sent to hell.

In this case, this child will be very grateful to God.

This is just an example, the bottom line is that God only knows the purpose of every event in life.

So God could not best Satan so He thought that man could do His job. Wow. God had much confidence in man.

First, if you believe in God, then you must be sure he is almighty and that the purpose of his acts might be beyond our knowledge.

If God is in our image then there are no secrets. We can understand God. He even says it. To be as Gos knowing good and evil.

If you believe in God, you don't question him.

You can only believe in God after you know Him.

If it is the big flood we are talking about, God indicated that all in the earth were evil includding children and babies. I do not believe in the flood but those who do must acknowledge this.

In this case, this child will be very grateful to God.

This is just an example, the bottom line is that God only knows the purpose of every event in life.

Why then did He give the earth to Satan to use as a brothel which causes God to have to use the flood in the first place. Could He not forsee His own mistake?
