In practice, mods don't much care what happens in a DIR unless someone complains. When all the participants appear to be members of the group the distinction between discussion and debate gets really blurred.
The Hindus apparently had a big problem with this, so maybe the mods tightened up a bit. I don't spend much time there, so maybe I am misinterpreting what it looked like from the outside.
But I don't think they're going to care if you, Paine, and I disagree on various points concerning deism.

    I care. :D

    For non-debates, I post here.
For debates, I post in Theological Concepts - Deism.

    Just following the rules...

That's the problem, the rules don't define the difference between discussion and debate.

Of course there is a place for mercy, through humanity. Empathy is an aspect of our nature.

I have started to believe in God again, mate. I am a co-dependent guy, cannot do alone in this life without sort of love of some senior Master.

If you need the love of some senior master, in this life, you're going to have to find it here. God cannot, must not, interact, if It exists at all.

Yup, which supports free will. If God intervenes, it is no longer free will with consequences.
