It appears it concerns you for some reason?

I personally will embrace any direction on this law that the Universal House of Justice may give in the future, as may your great grandchildren, but no one that is not a Baha'i needs to give it a second thought.

I personally wanted to many years ago, but I could not find any details, none have been given, it's not a priority I would suggest, the future may be different. There has been on the net lots of speculation, but no details. It could be the details are lost as many tablets were stolen by the covenant breakers.

I just added to the speculation for you.

That makes it s clear as I can, surely you can let it go now OB :) and @Aupmanyav

Have a great and happy day, regards Tony

Baha'u'llah was a practising Muslim prior to accepting the Bab and then giving a Revelation. He wrote fluently in both Arabic and Persian.

So I accept what you are just saying :)

    Regards Tony

So, I figure, after 146 years of Bahaullah, "Kitab-i-Aqdas" (a core book of Bahaullah's thoughts) has become obsolete, and is at the whims of UHJ. Right, please?
It is end of Bahaullah and his religious/non-religious concepts.Right, please?

    Regards

This process is documented and is all part of the Covenant given by Baha'u'llah, no whim needed.

You are offering argument out of total ignorance of that covenanted process.

I can give you the details, but I am confident OB can now help you, he was a detective, a seeker after the truth in all matters. :) @oldbadger

Have a great day Regards Tony

If you study the English version of the Kitab-I-Aqdas you will know exactly what I mean.

Here are the two verses at the end of the text of the Aqdas itself:

    189
O members of parliaments throughout the world! Select ye a single language for the use of all on earth, and adopt ye likewise a common script. God, verily, maketh plain for you that which shall profit you and enable you to be independent of others. He, of a truth, is the Most Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Informed. This will be the cause of unity, could ye but comprehend it, and the greatest instrument for promoting harmony and civilization, would that ye might understand! We have appointed two signs for the coming of age of the human race: the first, which is the most firm foundation, We have set down in other of Our Tablets, while the second hath been revealed in this wondrous Book.

    190
It hath been forbidden you to smoke opium. We, truly, have prohibited this practice through a most binding interdiction in the Book. Should anyone partake thereof, assuredly he is not of Me. Fear God, O ye endued with understanding!

    Bahá'í Reference Library - The Kitáb-i-Aqdas, Pages 77-88

Now the final two parts of the notes section make no mention of Bahá’u’lláh condemning opium use.

    193. SELECT YE A SINGLE LANGUAGE … ADOPT YE … A COMMON SCRIPT. # 189
Bahá’u’lláh enjoins the adoption of a universal language and script. His Writings envisage two stages in this process. The first stage is to consist of the selection of an existing language or an invented one which would then be taught in all the schools of the world as an auxiliary to the mother tongues. The governments of the world through their parliaments are called upon to effect this momentous enactment. The second stage, in the distant future, would be the eventual adoption of one single language and common script for all on earth.

    Bahá'í Reference Library - The Kitáb-i-Aqdas, Page 250

    194. WE HAVE APPOINTED TWO SIGNS FOR THE COMING OF AGE OF THE HUMAN RACE # 189

The first sign of the coming of age of humanity referred to in the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh is the emergence of a science which is described as that “divine philosophy” which will include the discovery of a radical approach to the transmutation of elements. This is an indication of the splendours of the future stupendous expansion of knowledge.

Concerning the “second” sign which Bahá’u’lláh indicates to have been revealed in the Kitáb-i-Aqdas, Shoghi Effendi states that Bahá’u’lláh, “…in His Most Holy Book, has enjoined the selection of a single language and the adoption of a common script for all on earth to use, an injunction which, when carried out, would, as He Himself affirms in that Book, be one of the signs of the ‘coming of age of the human race’”. 251

Further insight into this process of mankind’s coming of age and proceeding to maturity is provided by the following statement of Bahá’u’lláh:

One of the signs of the maturity of the world is that no one will accept to bear the weight of kingship. Kingship will remain with none willing to bear alone its weight. That day will be the day whereon wisdom will be manifested among mankind.

The coming of age of the human race has been associated by Shoghi Effendi with the unification of the whole of mankind, the establishment of a world commonwealth, and an unprecedented stimulus to “the intellectual, the moral and spiritual life of the entire human race”.

Its important to understand that it was predominantly English speaking Baha’is from North America who spread the Baha’i Faith throughout the planet initiated under Shoghi Effendi’s ministry, particularly during the 10 year crusade in the twentieth century. The Baha’is in Persia were hamstrung through oppression and restrictions. So Western culture and the English language have become a much more important part of our Baha’i culture than Islamic culture and Arabic. How many Baha’is here on RF speak Arabic or have grown up with Islam? We’re mostly English speaking from a Christian background.

Do you follow an idea or directive from the Bahai"authorities" if the words and intent of the idea the present goes against your innate and learned sense of morality? Is there a limit to your subservience?

I have yet to understand what Bahai believe as far as these religious laws for this time and age or how exactly they are new and improved.

Can you please name and explain ten of these new updated laws that, if we all ditch our own beliefs and voluntairliy follow the The Prophet in the future, will save all of us animals?

If this is too many questions to answer in one post, please feel free to use as many pages as necessary. Thanks.

Brother. I get all of that.

But that does not mean your book was written in some other language. And you cannot erase simple words like Allah in the book. Even if the whole world stops speaking arabic, still the book will have those words. You cannot erase it. And its just language. Nothing more, nothing less.

Who uses opium now? There are so many other nice things. And Allah never knew about 'cocaine' (or about South America) otherwise Bahaullah would have talked about it.

Of course not. However we are on an English speaking forum discussing religious concepts and ideas in English. Religion needs to adapt to different languages and cultures as culture either embraces or rejects a religion. The Baha’i Faith has progressive values that are easily communicated in word and deed that enables it to blend in harmoniously with Western Culture.
