I find it illogical that one would consider an obvious amalgam of varied stories, pseudo-history, and tribal laws to be the actual revealed revelation of any rational god.

admittedly i havent seen much of yahoo answers, but what i have seen there, weren't so much "answers" as it was pointless questions........err i think that may be your point:drool:
It's that kind of attitude that, in my opinion, makes the Religion and Spirituality section of Y!A completely useless.
On the other hand, what kind of an answer can you really give to an absurd question? Should one go out of their way to provide an explanation to any poorly formed and intentionally loaded "When did you stop beating your wife?" type question?
I think the example you gave is actually a pretty adequate response albeit a bit too pasive for my taste.
