Who's your favorite atheist?

My favorite atheist is no longer an atheist, but the next one I really admire is Richard Dawkins. I've seen him debate some Christians.

He seems like he's really good with kids. He seems really healthy mentally, seems very kind, thoughtful and rational. He appears in my opinion to be more healthy mentally and emotionally than the God I read about, especially in the Old Testament... He also seems to have a better head on his shoulders than a lot of the religious people I meet, and seems peaceful, calm, and collected.

I could never be an atheist again, It was very unhealthy for me,but I find atheists to typically be very thoughtful, and surprisingly less judgemental, less bigoted, less self-righteous, and more rational than many of the religious people I've met online and offline.

I've met atheists that follow the Golden Rule better than so many Christians, and I believe God will reward them on Judgement Day...as Christ said, "what you did for the least of my people you did for me, come inherit your Eternal reward."

I admire that atheists can show charity to people with no belief that they will receive any reward from it from some higher power.

There were many such acts of Charity and kindness that I never would have performed if I didn't think it was pleasing some invisible entity that's greater than myself.

Although I would like to see everybody (especially atheists) enlightened, I totally respect where they're at. Perhaps I'm the one who is delusional for wanting to pray all the time, and they are the ones who are sane.

I don't think they are to blame for being atheist...because to many people, it seems like God simply isn't there, that God doesn't care about them. There's so much Scandal, division, and confusion amongst religious people as well.

If God would speak clear messages that all people could hear , and if there were people doing the works that Jesus Promised his followers would do, I don't think there would be any more atheists.
I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite atheist.
So many contenders....some are immediate family.

Hard to have just one favorite atheist........

Robert G. Ingersoll........ "There is no antidote for religion mixed with mother's milk."
Bertrand Russell
Madelyn Murray O'Hara
Charles Schisler...... Who discovered pulsars.
me

And yes, as long as people have brains to think with there will be atheists. I actually find your statements lame if not disrespectful.... Yes, please, I wish to be blamed for being atheistic. I actually have no choice as no god has revealed itself. And, excuse me, If I may........ This is what I love about people who profess religion and faith, they have actually convinced themselves they are right, and their speech reflects it. They are convinced that their 'god' actually exists, and is the only true god, etc., etc., and that if only God could speak clearer messages, for example, I wouldn't be an atheist. Once again..... to my rational mind, I see no evidence of any god or goddess. Perhaps you have some actual evidence of a god to present?

And regarding another of your earlier statements, yes, perhaps you are delusional for wanting to pray all the time.

That's a bit harsh, considering you're responding to a post where I gave a lot of compliments to atheists as being more virtuous and rational than many of the theists I meet.

No, I can't give you any evidence that God exists. Some people, believe that God has left evidence. I've had some experiences that convinced me of the existence of God... I was a sociopath in and out of jails and mental institutions, and I pray to God that I would be compassionate and have a strong conscience, and now I have both.

That isn't evidence for you of God's existence, but all I know is that prayer has transformed me and other therapeutic methods did not.

But no, I don't have any evidence for you of God's existence. I personally think God is a major prick for refusing to provide you evidence of his existence.
