[9:40] If you help him not, then know that Allah helped him even when the disbelievers drove him forth while he was one of the two when they were both in the cave, when he said to his companion, ‘Grieve not, for Allah is with us.’ Then Allah sent down His peace on him, and strengthened him with hosts which you did not see, and humbled the word of those who disbelieved, and it is the word of Allah alone which is supreme. And Allah is Mighty, Wise.

He was a quiet Jamaican fellow I went to college with. He was always in his room, eyes red and looked hazy. We all thought he was smoking weed or a pot head, turns out he was a workaholic who studied all the time cuz his Dad would have disowned him if he didn't get into some combined med school/MBA program. Oh he was also gay and in the closet, and really tried to be a good Christian.

Last I heard he married a guy and is an art dealer downtown.

Its a neighbor I had when I first got married. He lived two houses down. A real sweetheart actually. Quiet, softspoken, calm guy. Eventually I ended up moving away, but a few years later I found that he actually ended up moving to the same town
Very lucky of you both to meet another town. You must had made him a good friend, I suppose.

Various people have been presented as a prophesized Immanuel. Just as many people have been presented as the Jewish Messiah, or as the Mahdi.
It is all in the expectations and wishfulness of people.
Immanuel is not a proper name. The Christianity people make us believe that it was Jesus-god. It cannot be as per the Gospels:
46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).

Jesus-god , as per Matthew, confirms that God-the-Father had forsaken him. Jesus-god cannot be Immanuel of the OT.

Far from me to insist that anyone must be Immanuel.

Still, the fact remains that plenty of people have been assigned that role. Spiritist Kardecists here in Brazil claim to be Christians in large measure because Chico Xavier's supposed spirit guide went by that name. There are those who claim that Muhammad was Immanuel. And I am sure there are very many other candidates as well.

True, all prophets/messenger of G-d in all parts of the world at all times were supported by G-d or G-d was with them:
[40:52] Most surely We help Our Messengers and those who believe, both in the present life and on the day when the witnesses will stand forth,
http://www.alislam.org/quran/search2/showChapter.php?ch=40&verse=51
The exception is of Jesus-god of Christianity who, as per their scripture and most probably the only words spoken by Jesus in his mother-tongue, was forsaken by the Christian-god-the-father. So, in this sense he was not Immanuel.

Zoroaster was also supported by Ahura-Mazda. Wasn't he? G-d was with him always, he could rightly say "God with us" "Immanuel".
But Jesus as per the NT Bible said “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”, so as per NT Bible the Christianity cannot claim that. Right? Please

Peace be on you....Please do write some more words so that one can understand your enquiry.
Immanuel - Hebrew עִמָּנוּאֵל meaning, "God with us"
But
In the verse, it is Holy Prophet (pbuh) saying this.

This happened with Muhammad and his friend Abu Bakr, who later become the truthful First Caliph/Successor of Muhammad and they together took refuge in a cave:

Jabal Thawr (Arabic: جبل ثور‎‎) (Mount Bull) is the name of a mountain in Saudi Arabia, located in the lower part of Mecca to the south of the district of Misfalah.[1] Height of the mountain is 1,405 m (4,610 ft).[2]

Cave[edit]
The Mountain is notable for housing a cave known as Ghar al-Thawr ( Cave of the Bull), in which the Islamic Prophet Muhammad and his companion Abu Bakr took refuge from the Quraish, during the migration to Medina. For the hadith, see Abu Bakr#Migration to Medina. For most Muslims, the cave is of religious significance, and is thus visited by many pilgrims and the tourists.

Story of Prophet Muhammad and Abu Bakr[edit]
During the Hijrah, Muhammad and Abu Bakr took refuge in this cave, with the help of Abu Bakr's family and slave. When the Quraish came to look for them, Abu Bakr worriedly told Muhammad that they were only two people, but Muhammad assured him that Allah was the third in the cave. When the Quraish reached the cave, they thought that nobody could go to a cave with a spider web spread across the mouth and birds nesting near it.[citation needed]
