Who do you think will prove or disprove the existence of a deity(ies) and why?

That is not the proper way of dealing with the concept, IMO.

Deities are invariably human creations, and should be treated as such. They exist because we did create them.

I would agree that they are concepts, however perhaps we could eventually prove there where no deities, not because we meant to but cirucmstancly like with string theory.

That is impossible. We create them all the time, perhaps out of a neurological imperative even, so they will keep existing.

Whether they are up to some particularly popular expectations of what they should be is a whole different matter from their existence or lack thereof.

I don't understand what you mean.

I doubt human beings are even remotely capable of meaningfully approaching either task.

It's literally impossible to disprove something which defies everything we understand and can perceive. May as well ask "Who do you think will disprove unicorns first?". Equally impossible task.

I would argue that philosophers and scientists alike have done as much as possible to do so.

I don't think it'll happen. Philosophers, theologians, and scientists have been trying to prove/ disprove the existence of gods for centuries now, and I don't see any of them succeeding any time soon

You can only disprove a deity with your own education and study.

We won't. It's simply not how the gods work.

This is already done. BY looking at who defined them and when they defined them, and how they defined them. Just because they refuse this knowledge means little. They refuse facts all the time.

But the reality of the situation is that theist have never proven their claimed gods exist, so WE don't have to prove anything, the burden is upon them, and they have failed.

None are trying to disprove, only prove and they have failed by all rights.

There is nothing to observe, therefor nothing exist.

Hasn't this already been done by all three parties, among others?

I guess God(s) need to prove or demonstrate their own existence, ultimately.

That does not answer the question.

PS: To anyone who have responded to me personally, I am just asking to see where others stand on this idea.

I have proof that our Creator exists because I've been speaking for Him this past 7 1/2 years. However, the proof I have can only be believed by chosen believers. Unbelievers will not believe anything our Creator speaks to them.

Couldnt figure if it would be the scientist or theolegeon. The former may disprove god but believers probably wont believe it unless someone who studies it pipes in his proof. The philosopher would ask questions about it but finding the answer just leads to more questions. Science cant prove it because by the nature of god, there is "nothing" to proove. The theologan would look at culture, language, a community and indivisual's sense of identity and conclude what holds them together like blood is a word called "god."

The psychologist might figure it out first. But thats not on the list.

It won't be proven. I'm not sure if you know what ''proven'' means. We have evidence that informs our ''beliefs''. This can be subjectively labeled as ''proof'', or not //that's arbitrary//,
