Tucker Carlson tells his viewers that the country's white supremacy problem 'is a hoax' - CNN

On white supremacy, facts first: An audit by the Anti-Defamation League found white supremacist murders in the US "more than doubled in 2017," with far-right extremist groups and white supremacists "responsible for 59% of all extremist-related fatalities in the US in 2017." They were responsible for 20% of these fatalities the year before.

Fox's Tucker Carlson is being roundly criticized for claiming that America's white supremacy problem "is a hoax."

It's "just like the Russia hoax," he told his viewers on Tuesday night. "It's a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power."

Tucker Carson has a long history of making racist comments in his show, lamented demographic change like it is a tragedy that more people of colour might come to live in the U.S. He has clearly shown himself to be a white supremacist. These comments are disgusting and dangerous.

CNN and Tucker are elite's flunkeys , elite can only exist if people are divided.

The boogeyman of White Supremacy is just that, a myth in an empty bottle underneath your bed waiting to nibble your toes when you fall asleep. To put it in perspective, there are more people killed by lawnmowers every year than by all murders attributed to White Nationalists nationally, last weekend in a two day period 46 people were shot in Chicago alone. Election year is right around the corner so some need that fear to sell, good for Tucker Carlson for trying to help counter the fear based rhetoric by speaking the inconvenient truth.

It appears that "white supremacy" is a leftish "dog whistle".
It's useful in multiple ways....
- To tag Trump as one of them.
- To deflect from other threats, eg, violent wings of Islam & the left.

Notice how there's little news coverage of Connor Betts's background?

Here's the thing about violent threats....
Don't decide which single group is dangerous.
Deal with all threats...left, right, Christian, Muslim...all of them.

I refuted this a number of times on the forums. It is easy to refute. You didn't check the sources. It lists B&E, assault and having illegal narcotics as a WS crime based on the one of suspect's ideology not the motive of the crime. Also his partner was.... a black guy. They robbed..... a white guy who was had drugs they wanted.....

From the article:
"You know who else doesn't think White Supremacy is a problem? White Supremacists"

Sounds a bit like:
"Whoever denies the power of Witchcraft must therefore be a Witch"

I would have thought that someone as discerning as you would have understood the difference in the reasons for the attacks.

Betts' motivation, anti-Latino immigration was quite different from those of Patrick Crusius - one the surface, a fascination with violence and mass-shootings. Deeper, why he killed his sister.

Dayton gunman Connor Betts had an obsession with violence and mass shootings, police say - CNN
(CNN)The gunman who opened fire in Dayton, Ohio, this weekend had an obsession with violence and mass shootings and had expressed a desire to commit a mass shooting, Dayton Police Chief Richard Biehl said Tuesday.

"(He [Crusius] was) very specifically seeking out information that promotes violence," FBI Special Agent in Charge Todd Wickerham added.
Unlike the El Paso shooting, which the alleged gunman appears to have described as part of an anti-immigrant crusade, authorities still do not know what motivated Connor Betts to open fire early Sunday morning in a popular nightlife district in Dayton.
But comments from authorities, memories from former classmates and posts on his apparent Twitter account show that the gunman took a deep interest in violence -- and, as in many American shootings, had easy access to powerful firearms.

It's easy to say "Deal with all threats". It's much harder to implement. There are few ways to predict why and when someone will choose to kill his sister. There are many ways to monitor people posting anti-immigrant-invasion rhetoric. One way is to listen to Trump's speeches. Especially when he laughingly responds to a Sheeple saying "shoot them" in response to his "How do we stop the invasion?"

According to FBI hate crime statics regarding reported incidents of racially motivated hate crimes perpetrated in 2017, there were 2,013 reported incidents of anti-African American hate crimes, 427 reported incidents of anti-Hispanic hate crimes, 102 reported incidents of anti-Arab hate crimes, 938 reported incidents of anti-Jew hate crimes, and 273 incidents of anti-Islamic hate crimes.

This means, supposing there is one individual white supremacist for each racially motivated hate crime perpetrated each year, there'd be fewer than 4,000 White Supremacists out of 300 million persons in America. Hence, 99.998 percent of the population are not white supremacists.

In conclusion, white supremacist are a statistically insignificant portion of the U.S. population.

"Just over a week after FBI director Christopher Wray told the Senate that most domestic terrorist arrests in 2019 thus far have involved white nationalism, a shooter who aimed to attack “as many Mexicans as possible” killed 20 at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas on Saturday. Hours later, that mass shooting was followed by another in Dayton, Ohio, where 9 were killed by a shooter now identified by police as 24-year-old Connor Betts of Bellbrook, Ohio."

But this white nationalism thing is just "fake news," right?

It's also easy to say that <this or that group> is "the threat".
Difficult it will be to address mass murder, but it's nonetheless worth doing.
I'd prefer to not sacrifice civil liberties in the process.

We can't stop all murders.
I advocate only mitigating / reducing the problem to the extent practical & legal.

I was talking about the ADL citation. It took crimes which has no WS motive as the same as crimes motivated by WS. That is distortion. Think about it. If a Muslim murders someone but has no motivation from Islam can I call it radical Islamic murder?

Dayton was a leftist.

Not only that but non-Whites commit hate crimes at a disproportionate rate. I think Whites make up ~%76 of the population and commit about half the so called "hate crimes", that means ~%26 non-Whites commit the other half.

And was this Dayton shooter motivated by leftist ideologies?

The El Paso shooter clearly was motivated by white supremacy.

Seems like so far. El Paso was a selected target considering he didn't live there.

The manifesto is a questionable source as it was first post in 8chan or w/e. I am not counting it as evidence.

Data does not separate Latino, Hispanic, w/e from white by US Census.

According to his Twitter history, he very well could have been. I might even be so willing as to say that it's overwhelmingly likely. https://nypost.com/2019/08/06/dayton-shooter-may-be-antifas-first-mass-killer/

While Betts, the Dayton shooter, didn’t leave behind a manifesto, his extensive social-media footprint provides clues as to what may have inspired him. Federal investigators announced Tuesday that they are looking into his exploration of violent ideologies.

Betts had long expressed support for antifa accounts, causes and individuals. That would be the loose network of militant leftist activists who physically attack anyone to the right of Mao in the name of “anti-fascism.” In particular, Betts promoted extreme hatred of American border enforcement.

“Kill every fascist,” the shooter declared in 2018 on twitter, echoing a rallying cry of antifa ideologues. Over the next year, his tweets became increasingly violent. “Nazis deserve death and nothing else,” he tweeted last October. Betts frequently flung the label “Nazi” at those with whom he disagreed online.

By December, he reached out on Twitter to the Socialist Rifle Association, an antifa gun group, to comment about bump stocks, and the SRA responded to him. (A bump stock is an attachment for semiautomatic rifles that allow them to fire much faster.)

In the months leading to his rampage, Betts expressed a longing for climactic confrontation. In response to an essay by Intercept writer Mehdi Hassan titled, “Yes, Let’s Defeat or Impeach Trump—but What If He Doesn’t Leave the White House?” the shooter wrote: “Arm, train, prepare.”

By June he tweeted: “I want socialism, and I’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round understanding.” Last week, he promoted posts that demonized Sens. Ted Cruz and Bill Cassidy’s resolution against antifa extremism.
...
Last month, an antifa militant firebombed an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Tacoma, Wash. Police say Willem van Spronsen was killed after he aimed a rifle at them during the attack. His gun had apparently malfunctioned before he could fire. In his manifesto, he called for his “comrades” to take up arms in confronting the ascendant fascism of the state. In one of Betts’ tweets before he extinguished the lives of nine fellow Americans, he responded to a person asking if van Spronsen had been a “villain or martyr?”

Betts flatly replied: “martyr.”
So make of that what you will, but I think he was in fact motivated by far-left ideologies. We'll have to wait and see if we get anything more definitive, but for now I'd say this is fairly conclusive.

I am not seeing anything here. I don’t see that he targeted border security, or government officials, or supporters of one political party, or did anything inspired by antifa or any politician or political ideology.

In this case he is still alive and talking. If there is any doubt that he wrote that drivel (I won’t call it a “manifesto”) he will clear that up himself.

One guy clearly explained his motives for the attack in a lengthy manifesto outlining his "reasoning," repeating the rhetoric and exact phraseology we've been hearing over and over again from some political leaders and pundits.

The other guy did not write anything like a manifesto containing divisive rhetoric we've heard repeated by political leaders and pundits , and just identifies as a Democratic socialist and Tweeted a few times about supporting Elizabeth Warren, "voting blue" and about how he doesn't like ICE.

Is there not a difference between the two?

I was just about to point this out.

I was also going to say that I find it strange when Americans claim that “white supremacy” and racism are nothing more than “dog whistles,” given the institutionalization of slavery, white supremacy and racism that have been a part of American history for so long.

The manifesto is in doubt as the source goes back to 8chan. Not the most reliable place. The cops have made statement regarding his social media which paints enough of a picture.

It is called a dog whistle as it is used for the outrage industry to make money. People throw the label around too often.

Dayton seems to be about the guy's sister and her b/f. At least from what I have read.
