Peace be on you
In an advertisement of May 28, 1900, Hazrat Promised Messiah and Mahdi (on whom be peace) explained about the minaret of Promised Messiah: [In short] : By the grace of God the Exalted, the plain mosque of Qadian, which was built by my father (may mercy be on him) between two bazaars, on high land, now it is extended very much for the sake of esteem of Islam
This movement is Gods matter and it is from His hand therefore human resistance could not stop it
Now to complete this mosque, a proposal has been considered; to the East of the mosque, cording to the desire of Sayings of Messenger of Allah (peace and blessing of Allah be on him), a very high minaret should be made. There will be three objectives.
Firstly, To announce Azaan (five daily calls for Salaat). To convey the holy name of God five times in day and night. Briefly saying, we shall call people that the God Who is since ever, to ever and Who should be worshiped by all human is the only God, to Whom His Exalted and Holy Messenger (s.a.w.) guides. There is no God except Him, neither on earth nor in the heavens The underline reality in that now the time has come that the sound of la elaha illallah i.e. There is none worthy of worship but Allah should reach to every ear. That is to say that except that God -- Who is since ever to ever and towards Whom Holy Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be on him) has guided other devised gods are untrue. They are untrue because their believers cannot get any blessings from them; they cannot show any sign.
Second, there will be bright light on the minaret, which will help human eyes .The underline reality is that people should know that the era of heavenly light has come; as the land has taken step forward in inventions, similarly heavens has desired to manifest its lights very clearly so that days of freshness may come again for truth seekers. And every eye which can see, may see light from heavens and may be saved from committing errors.
Thirdly, the clock on the minaret will show time to people so that they know their time and their should be attentive to recognize it ..The underline reality is that people should understand their time. That is to say, they should time of opening of doors of heavens has come. From now, earthly-jihads are stopped and (religious) wars are ended as it was written in the sayings of Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) that when Messiah would come, fight for religion would be prohibited. So from today, it is prohibited to wage war for religion. [Early Islamic wars were fully defensive and these were answer back to foes, by permission of Allah, who continued for 13-years to do their best to annihilate Islam and Muslims Now no one uses power against religion Islam.] After this clarification if any one raises sword for religion and call himself ghazi to kill infidels, is disobeying Allah and His Messenger. In Sahih Bukhari, hadith says yadhaul harb in favour of Promised Messiah; it meant that when (Promised) Messiah would come Jihadi-wars would be ended. Promised Messiah has come and is the one who is speaking to you.
It is written in hadith that Promised Messiah would descend near a white minaret. It meant that it is the sign of time of Promised Messiah that in his time, due to easy worldwide get-togethers, opening of new ways and eases in meetings, it will be so easy to convey divine commandments, religious light and to give call if the doer-person is standing on a minaret. Inventions has made like the world one city. In short, the word minaret for the the time of Promised Messiah indicates that his light and voice will spread in the world faster. These things were not available to any other Prophets. It is written in the Gospels that Messiah will come in such time, if lighting shines at one corner of the sky, it shines all corners instantaneously. It indicated that since Promised Messiah was to deliver light to whole world, that is why first of all, such ways and means were given to him. He has not come to shed blood but has brought message of peace for all world. Now why should people be killed? If there is any seeker of truth, he should see the continuously coming signs of God. If one is not seeker of God, then leave him and do not plot to kill him. Because I say truly truthfully that now that last day is near, of which, all Prophets who came in the world, has warned.
Thus the clock at the minaret, reminds the time of Promised Messiah.
The mention of a minaret for Promised Messiah, tells that, in his time, the true Islamic truth will reach to full height, like this very high minaret. True Islam will be victorious over all religions just as when one says Azaan (Call to Prayer) from the minaret, it dominates all sounds. As it is mentioned in ho wallazi arsala rasulahu bil huda wa deenil haqqey leyuzherahu aladdiney kullehi .. (Holy Quran ch 61 : v 10) i.e. He Who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the Religion of truth, that He may cause it to over all religions This verse is for Promised Messiah. The loud voice of Islamic argument, under which all other sounds suppress, is destined for the Promised Messiah since the Beginning. Since ancient, step of Promised Messiah is declared to be on that minaret which is highest of all. A revelation in Barahim e Ahmadiyya, page 522, had pointed to it, which said, [Persian] bakhram keh waqtey to nazdeek raseed wa paaey muhammadian ber minar buland ter mohkam uftad : [explains Hazrat Promised Messiah (a.s.) i.e. now manifest and come because your time has come near and that time is coming when people of Muhammad shall be taken out of trench and their step will be on a high and strong minaret.] .Mosque of Promised Messiah is Masjid Aqsaa too because it is very far from the early time of Islam and is present at extreme era.
This minaret is made as memorial of era of Promised Messiah. It also fulfills the prophecy of Holy Quran, subhan allazi asraa beabdehi leylam menal masjedil haraamey elal masjedil aqsaa allazi baaraknaa holahu . (17:2) i.e. Glory be to Him, Who carried His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Distant Mosque, the environs of which We have blessed .The minaret mentioned in hadith is of this mosque. Also Damascus is mentioned in hadith; it indicates that the seed of three-gods idea was started in Damascus. The descend of Promised Messiah is to erase that notion and re-establish the glory of One God. For this purpose it was said that minaret of Promised Messiah is in the east of Damascus; Qaadian, the place of this minaret, is in the east of Damascus. Divine indications have hidden meaning beneath them.
The light of Promised Messiah rises from his minaret from the east and is like the Sun rising from the east. From this place, Islams revival has begun and its victory will not be with man-made weapons, but it is with the Divine apparatus. There is no war on the name of religion now after the advent of Promised Messiah has happened as Holy Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be on him) has said so. The Promised Messiah raises the white flag of peace and security.
