White and Black Magic

GoodbyeDave

Well-Known Member
Blavatsky defined black magic as the use of spiritual force for a material aim and white magic as the use of spiritual force "solely … for others". So, it would be white magic to heal another and black to heal yourself? Rubbish! And what's wrong with material aims? Don't Christians pray for their daily bread?

white magic would follow the golden rule; so blavatsky would have gotten it wrong on a minor point. love doesn't exclude self of any because the All would become polarized. in other words there would be an All separate from self. it couldn't be the All having something apart from it.

For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

everyone needs material things but they become excesses once having them met.
