We wanted to do a follow up announcement about the COVID-19 forum to clarify that all COVID related threads are to go in the COVID-19 forum. It helps keep things organized and makes it easier on moderation. As of now, we may treat COVID-19 threads made outside the forum like we would any rule 10 warning.
In addition, when making threads or posts in the COVID-19 section dealing with things not commonly known, such as claims about statistics or recent developments, please provide links citing the claim. This helps staff keep misinformation to a minimum and speeds up the approval process of new threads.
If you're ever not sure if your thread would fall in or out of general COVID-19 topics, or have other questions about this, you can always make a thread in Site Feedback to ask us.
