Just a fun fact about me: I'm also a High School drop-out.

Dropped out of HS and into the university.

-Bachelor in Agriculture
-Master of Environmental Studies (mostly economics and policy)
-Doctorate in Public Administration

I'm glad I went through my programs, but I wounldn't recommend it for everyone...More education only matters some times for some things...it depends on what you want to do in life, and not just professionally...

Parenthetical aside....
I have a recurring dream about being in college, falling behind in
work, & having an epiphany that it's better to quit than persevere.
Starts out as a nightmare, but morphs into a dream.

I think we are all stuck with that for a lifetime.

A teacher friend says she gets those, that she is supposed
to teach, but does not know which room, what subject,
classes start in a few minutes and she is so embarrassed
to ask anyone.

I am really jealous of anyone who can do math.
I had so much trouble with trig and calc, it about
killed me off.
I blame improper teaching, particularly not tailoring the course to students
with very different wants & ways of learning. A friend hated math in high
school, & dropped out. But he eventually learned math because it was useful
in his contracting business. On a lark, I taught him differential calculus, &
he caught on quickly. I've seen how you reason & post, & have no doubt that
you could not only learn it, but also enjoy it.

At least my dream had a happy ending.

I'm the one guy with the HS diploma. Everybody else is so smart.
As far as the US understanding goes, I only have a High School diploma. I never want to set foot in a university.

Two years and two months of college. It was the wrong choice of study and I was stupid, carefree, and just plain stupid. I could have changed majors, but I was without a mentor.

I came from a different world. I might have made the dean's list if I only went to school each day and did my godamn homework. When I thought about college my mind didn't venture anywhere beyond nursing, teacher, or secretary. Teaching was out because I knew I needed to talk, and I didn't do much talking. Secretary, not possible. So, it was nursing, but it seems I might have a bit of perfectionism, and so, I had to quit. There were two years of academics and that was fun, but then I had to learn to nurse. And, that lasted about an hour.
