Victims Ha, ha, ha - before the UK joined the EU we were described as "The basket case of Europe" - Johnson and his mates want to take us back there.

Thought you were against credulity and uncritically swallowing dishonest arguments in regard to this issue?

That site makes the NHS bus claim look like the paragon of critical scholarship and impartiality.

You seriously don't see anything problematic with the "methodology"?

There's plenty of info showing job cuts fully or partially due to Brexit; my work has declined significantly since Brexit - not all to do with it but 50% at least to do with it.

That doesn't make the link you posted any less ridiculously misleading, although this is hardly surprising as Brexit has never been an issue where either side has cared much for accuracy, honesty or critical reflection.

I do applaud Britain for joining the EEC.
But then there was Soros, Maastricht and the tremendous Lisbon treaty.

If I've stooped to the Leave campaign's lever of lying I apologise and withdraw the post
I'm just waiting for them to tell me a benefit of leaving.

As soon as you mention Soros you are becoming anti-Semitic, the UK willingly signed up to all those treaties and has prospered through them

Soros already rich to the value of over 8 bn, you realise that is more than the brexit teams promise to the NHS?

You've only just added Draghi - what about the right wing profiteers, don't they get a mention?

    Fair decision

There was a Guardian article you saw that outlined some.

In general, increased democratic accountability which is certainly a real benefit.

The other main one is decentralisation and the ability to make decisions that are tailored to your country rather than 'one size fits all' committee decisions and compromises. ideally it will be used as a springboard for much greater decentralisation and devolution of power towards localities throughout the UK (but I doubt it).

In general it's going to be a 'wait and see' as no one will know until it plays out over the next couple of decades based on how the UK is doing and how the EU is doing. Too many decisions yet to be made and too many unknown future actualities to encounter.

There's no point in creating a day by day 'scorecard' for something that can only be judged in the long run, and economic forecasts and the like are about as meaningful as horoscopes.

    At present, no one knows.

But we were promised golden uplands and flying unicorns when we left during the referendum. It is only fair that those who have delivered it are held to account.
"Wait and see" appears to be a very poor second.

Stuff like increased democracy is very general - especially when our government refuses to be interviewed apart from by tame reporters.
Decentralisation - if it happens - will be good, as a northerner it is desperately needed. But as Whitehall controls our spending, and is holding up investment, it is certainly not happening yet.
If we want to trade with the EU we will have to meet their standards, we used to be able to influence those standards, now we just accept them or do not trade - a vassal state we have become.

We are stuck with this government for at least another 10-years unless Labour see the light (which I doubt) - the Tories do not believe in democracy

btw Where is The Russia Report?

This is not the right attitude, I am sorry.

The right attitude is to give worth and value to every single European country. Each of them has peculiar economic potentialities and I think, the spiritual mission of a United Europe (of free and sovereign countries) is to favor cooperation instead of competition.

And yes, decentralisation is nevessary when there is a too much powerful central entity.

These are the people we want to build a new Europe with.
    These people with these ideas.
I dont think Britain would feel comfortable with this new Europe.

I'm sorry but isn't what you describe in the first paragraph better known as the EU?

For the first time in fifty years, our MPs now have power and can be held to account.
