    hi :)
i accidentally entered a porn site. not an ordinary one. it was all about shemales. i could not understand why people chose to be shemale. i mean, a man decides to have breasts but he keeps his genital organ as a male. i don't get it. if he feels like a woman and likes man, he has surgeries and make his body look like female. i get that. so, why stop in the half way? what's the point of having females breasts while still carrying a male organ?

The breasts aren't from surgery. (Well, they probably are in porn, my SOs aren't).

The surgery is also very expensive, 10-20 grand, dangerous, and hard to get clearance from a shrink for.

Why don't you email the webmaster of the site in question and ask them? :D

Often it's because transwomen have a very hard time finding work. It's simple a case of them doing what they have to to survive. Many of them are in the process of transitioning, and many transwomen get stuck with having breasts and a penis for sometime, and many of them never get genital surgery for various reasons. It should also be noted that many transmen have their breasts removed but still have a vagina. But that is mostly because genital surgery for a female to male patients isn't very good, the penis is usually very small and very misshapen. I've even heard that in very rare cases it can even fall off (and in rare cases a condition can occur in male to female patients that causes fecal matter the move through the neo-vagina). On average it takes about 8 - 10 years to fully transition. Starting with the first therapist visits, an average of 200 hours of electrolysis (facial hair removal), time for the hormones to feminize the body, time to adjust, and time to save up money for surgeries. It is not by any means an "over night" change. And the ones that do transition rapidly are usually the ones that end up regretting it.
What I don't get is the hatred and intolerance that transwomen are subjected to, yet many of these arses love watching "tranny" porn.

Well I am gay (not typical gay guy, but like boys) so anyway, bananas oh yeah as i was saying... in the gay community its quite acwarkd there are people who love 'role playing' and they want to live life as a female, but still want to dominate with there 'penis.' It gross to me but whatever is whatever.

Well, I was about to say "To each his own..." but then realized how that phrase just somehow doesn't FIT the question....so I'll just say this:

    "There's no accounting for taste."

    Sexuality can sure be complex.

Some people don't identify with either gender.

I suppose that having two genders is arbitrary to begin with. I guess it's not any more arbitrary to decide that one is neither of them, or both of them.

Why do people like to be asphixiated during sex? Or only prefer bondage? Sex is different for everyone.

you sound young still? am i right? well in this corrupt world people are forced to feel as if image means everything, when your mind is not happy with body, theres so many insecurities that are born and there is almost nothing you can do, either except it, change with lots of money, or a never ending rest.

It's not so much as being forced to feel image is everything. For transsexuals, the mind is one gender and the body is the other. It isn't an insecurity, but being stuck as the gender that you do not identify as.

It bring up some interesting things about different cultures and sexuality.
In some culture( can't remeber if it was an Asian or Latin one) when there is no man to lead the family often a woman with a strong male identity will start living a male lifestyle and become the man of the house.
In Iran sex reassignment surgery is paid for by the government .

That is very interesting....they "don't have homosexuals" because they execute them, but they do offer monetary assistance for sex reassignment surgery. Some things just do not make any since at all.
That is actually really messed up. We have to fight to be recognized as the gender we identity as and physically become here in America, but it's fully recognized in a theocratic-Abrahamic nation that is ran by a dictator.

It should be noted that she-males are not always a product of choice such as the case with hermaphrodites. I just consider the mutation to be a third sex. Correctable by surgery or simply left as is.

I think I read something to the effect that they are willing to do it so "gay" individuals can fully become the opposite sex and engage that way to avoid being gay. Totally ridiculous. Gay and transsexual are not always the case and the idea behind sex in the religious contest is procreation so how this helps is beyond me. But they have a twisted system there anyway so it is not surprising.

.lava, I did giggle at your OP question and post. Bless you. :D

I think Shadow Wolf hit the nail on the head. Many may be in the transition stage, and many are probably struggling to make ends meet so porn becomes one of the things they can do. There is still a lot of discrimination out there in the world.

I read that when I was reading up on Iran paying for sex reassignment surgeries. And yes, it is very wrong that they ask that of gays. I can imagine it must be a very bad situation, especially for gay men since women are not treated good over there.
Among mostly older MtF transsexuals prostitution is not uncommon. And while things have improved for the younger ones, prostitution is still far from being unheard of.

Cost and privacy issues may have a lot to do with it.
The surgery and psychological counseling that must precede it are time consuming and expensive, whereas one can achieve the appearance of femininity relatively cheaply.
