but of course....the same technique dealt for domination...

What would the world look like if all humans had a telepathic connection to each other
If all human have such connection with each other means, everyone has 7 + Billion connections.
How many active, how many inactive, or just active are those whom we know?
Have you seen TV anchor with hidden phone in his / her ear. Some time they seems in trouble, their thought tells different than producer says.
Bombardment of messages will make life uncomfortable, like if your mobile phone rings all the times.
If there is control on such telepathy, then fine.
But IMO such universal telepathy will not take place. Do not worry.

VERY different indeed! Thought patterns and even subject matters would develop in entirely different ways. Mental health would be drammatically different and deal with epidemics fairly often. Social dynamics would be turned upside down. Families would break up and join by affinity. Criminal and legal proccesses would be deeply affected. Professional policians would become a very different group and let go of their power far more often, while regular people would deal with their differences far more frequently.
Jobs designed to take advantage of people with particular empathy or mental resilience would arise. Abrahamic faiths would become ravage-prone movements and might well both diminish and explode at the same time, as the chasm between their true believers and other people rose to the point of open conflict. In a more general sense, people would find out that they can't very well keep or avoid the same people that they did before.
Polyamory would become far more frequent and accepted. Homosexual taboos would intensify for a while before dissolving for good. Military would go through a deep crisis and basically extinguish.
Come to think of it, the consequences would be significantly different depending on whether the change came suddenly or very gradually. The shock of learning how people truly think would be unsettling, even permanently damaging for many.
Hardly. Consequential as the communications advancement is, it still falls way short of a full telepathic rapport of humanity.
What crime?
Nobody could get away with anything if everybody around them knew what they were thinking. Immoral behavior in general, and crime in particular, depends on keeping people from realizing what you intend or have done.
It also depends on not caring about the deleterious effects of your behavior, which would be difficult if you actually knew how the harm impacted them. And your knowledge of such would presumably also be something those around you know about.
I think that such a mental ability would be the dawn of paradise on earth.
