I am of the opinion that the Biblical god is a human creation, I have not seen any evidence to suggest otherwise. If god really exists why does it hide away, instead of revealing itself to all humanity in a way that is indisputable?

The religionists will tell you that's it's all part of God's plan, and that you should have faith without evidence. The non-religionists will tell you there is no evidence for a God.

One has to believe in God and cultivate mind and body before you will gain any "Proof" Because if you do not search within you God will not let you in to the wisdom needed to get your Proof.

The proof you looking for is called spiritual wisdom, and without spiritual wisdom you will remain "blind" to the truth, That is why siritual people can use many many years to gain what you see as proof, but they will not be able to prove God to you. Only you can get the proof that God exist for you, Because God show only to those who seek in a rightroues way.

There is no evidence hence the reason a person needs faith. If evidence existed there would be no faith.

    Couple of reasons

    1. God is an experience.

The problem with that question is you have to have a more open mind behind what how christians describe god. Once you get over the literal point of view, you probably find more proof. Just, because its a religion not a science, it won't be the literal proof you are looking for.

    2. God is abstract

    God is love.
    God is just.
    We experience salvation.
    We experience the holy spirit.
The spirit of god makes us understand life
I love life because of god who lives within me

    3. God is personified

The spirit of life that is within me tells me that I am loved (I feel I am loved by something or someone from outside of me to inside).

It's literally taking spirit (of life) and dictating the spirit as an actual god bring B.C. gods into life today. It's taking the deities of the past and bring it into future existence. However they define deities and god depends on the person. So, it cannot be proven. There are too many definitions.

    On that note.

    3. God has too many definitions. You would need to tell us what god you are looking for because each christian theist (and muslim and jewish) describe or interact with god in different ways.

You must understand who and what god is from the believers point of view not your own.

Also, you can look in the search above on RF and find many proof threads. Unfortunately, christians dont like to continue the conversation and they the only ones I know who speak about god.

I wish muslims would pitch in with this all the way cause we keep going back to christian view of god and it goes nowhere.

That's the main reason I'm agnostic. Even those who believe in a god have endless disputes with each other. Even if I believed that the universe was created by some sort of sentient being, it still wouldn't do thing one to prove that any human-derived religion is correct. There might very well be a god. I accept that as a possibility, but even then, I'm just as convinced that every single religion on Earth is wrong.

I adhere to religion and i dont say that.

    I say there is evidence.

Proof and evidence is not the same. There is evidence, not proof.

Who cares if God exists or does not exist, the argument is meaningless, as in totally irrelevant to anything that matters.

For you it is maybe meaningless, and that should all respect,
But for those who wish to understand and know more of God and the wisdom, a question like Does God really exist, not only as a belief, but actually as something bigger then us self. That is imortant to all who has a religious belief.

A careful examination of the Bible addresses these issues. The Biblical god you say? There were many gods in the Bible. Tammuz, Jesus, the judges of Israel and Moses were all mortal men who were called gods. A god is only someone or something that is attributed might or venerated.

Jehovah created Adam and Eve but he didn't deal directly with them. He allowed for them to have a period of time in which to mature as the angels had. To become righteous and recognize his sovereignty as their creator. This grace period was called the seventh day of rest. It began immediately after Eve's creation and continues to this day. David and Paul explained it. Had they not sinned it would have been thousands of years, but since they did sin it was prolonged even further. We can only enter this period once sin and death and the great adversary Satan is removed.

When Adam did sin he, under the influence of Satan, raised a question before all men to come and all of the myriads of angels who witnessed these events. For the sake of fairness and justice God allowed this question to be addressed. Think of a father who warned his son of danger and the son refused the warning. The father can only allow the offspring of the son to see the errors of his ways and choose the correct path.

Jehovah God has presented us with that information. What we do with it is up to us.

Now, you base your estimation of the information he has presented as a human creation. You are more than likely to have been influenced by thousands of years of misrepresentation of that information, through Greek philosophy and modern day poor scholarship. Atheist Bible critics, for example, that base their estimation on the Greek influence, Bible dictionaries and encyclopedias presented in the Dark Ages, and inconclusive and insubstantial higher criticism.

Chances are you just don't want to believe or you can't accept the supernatural. Supernatural being just a word for something we can't understand or haven't seen with our own eyes, like at one time whales and giant squid were once thought to be supernatural.

If you want to assign importance to that which has no meaning and no relevance to anything that matters, by all means, knock yourself out. If it's proven that God exists or proven that God does not exist makes no difference to anything or to anyone., so feel free.

I think if God was proven with no doubt to be true, all the religious people in the world would have the answer they looking for, so ofcourse it would matter to millions of human beings.
And the non believers would get an answer too

Not necessarily because God may not provide any answers to anyone.

And nothing would change, believers would continue to claim to have proof and doubters would not believe them which is why this exercise is totally meaningless. The same for proof of God's non existence, it just doesn't matter.

If you view god as a product of culture and history his presence is everywhere.
