I knew you would not accept evidence. It says so much.

How it makes the gap smaller is proving that evolution occurs. Yet even now many theists make any excuse they can to deny the evidence

You are confusing complexity with quality.Dna Comprises og 4 chemicals and a base, not much is simpler. Yet it takes a lot to be useful

Ok how did any of that made the gap smaller.... Or to put it in different words, how did any of that made the existence of God less likely tham before the discovery?

Ok but do you know thay God is not the cause of the universe? In the same way we know thay santa is not the cause of presents?

I will make it simpler still, there was a gap in knowledge that was filled with god, that particular gap no longer exists

    Which one?
Only someone trying to convince someone else has a burden of proof.

It's pretty arrogant to ask someone's opinion, and then argue that the fact they answered your question means they have an obligation to defend that opinion for you.

Ok so how does the discovery of DNA made the gap smaller?..... How did this discovery made existance of God less likely than before such discovery....... You are the one who is making the assertion... The burden proof is on you.

    Lol.

I guess I make a real poor athiest since I don't believe or disbelieve in anything. I do see evidence for "God" and no evidence for the non-existence of "God" but then I still can't compute the odds in my near total ignorance.

I do believe that religion is a confusion of ancient knowledge when it was summarized in three words "knowledge > understanding > creation". While this ancient knowledge had the benefit of being applicable to man and his life it was still quite primitive in many ways. None of our knowledge is applicable to individuals but too many think it is and reject knowledge of themselves and fail to see their ignorance.

I can't. I'm not the sort of atheist who only disbelieves in only one god.

Your OP shows your chauvinism. You've framed atheism as a response to the particular god that you believe in, not realizing that your god is just one of the countless gods that humanity has believed in, and that your religion is just another religion.

Which gap is that? What mystery was solved with DNA that was previously explained by "God did it?"

Nope, i framed the such that good is defined as the creator of the universe. (a timeless spaceless inmaterial personal being who created the universe)

For the purpose of this thread anything that fits this description would be" God"

With that said, can you answer the OP?

Interestingly @leroy and others are almost as atheist as im. There have been thousands of gods throughout history, (millions if you count Hinduism). All have been believed in yet @leroy does not believe in thousands of gods but only one. Where's i don't believe in any. Only one god different out of thousands (or millions)

That god created humans as they are now, with no evolution from early hominids

There are at least 3800 creator gods that have been/are worshipped by humans
