My growing up years, John Lennon's Working Class Hero. I felt put-upon, shunned, mocked and teased, confused as to what I should do and be, not really belonging anywhere. I never really learned social skills as a child or young adult. I thought I knew what I wanted in life, but I look back with more than a few regrets because I was confused and not encouraged in anything (no, I don't need a special place :D). Yet I thought I was all that. Who knew?

Bad word alert: He uses the eff-word twice in the song.

As soon as you're born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be ...

They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool
Till you're so ****ing crazy you can't follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be...

When they've tortured and scared you for twenty-odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can't really function you're so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be ...

Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you're so clever and classless and free
But you're still ****ing peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be...

As a human and religious person, I must say the song "Wanderer" by Sami Yusuf.
It describes what I am...
"but I'm just a wanderer, in search of my lover"
:grinning:

Let's go full Trottle
too many, no one song can fully embody the vast and diverse mannerisms and characterizations of a human.
