What is wrong with those people who tell you that you don't belong here?

Numerous professional athletic players before they joined the league was tolled that they don't belong there and that is not their place.

This life is like a bus ride. You come in, you take a sit, and then you offload. Imagine taking a bus and then someone comes up to you and tell you "You don't belong here. This is not your place. Look for another bus."

What is wrong with those people who tell you that you don't belong here? Are they trying to help you or are they trying to mentally destroy you?

At a guess, It's probably a mixture of snobbery against the new guy and that they don't like the competition. Destroy you is a bit harsh but maybe if you give it time they will get to know you better and things may improve?

It might be a way to motivate you to do better in life. It might be a way to make you sad. It might just be them being sad and disappointed about themselves and they decide to project those negative feelings towards you.

I think it was a "test" for the players. The test if their willpower is strong enough...if they are willing to follow their dream no matter what...
