This was recently found in a couple's home after they died.
Turns out it was stolen.

it doesn't do much for me; I wouldn't pay to take it

Its cachet as a collectible, however, probably makes it valuable to collectors and art historians. Someone might value it into the millions of dollars.

I would not.

Depends on the stamp. Some are worth up to $20 milion.
but yes, that's a bargain ,;-)
Very rare & historically significant scrap iron can be
had for well under $1M. Some items though, like
Lenoir engines would exceed that.
(Mr Lenoir was a Froggie, BTW.)

What is this painting suppose to depict? I am no art expert, but I am guessing the picture frame is worth ten dollars, and since the painting is so subjectively abstract, it is worth the value of the painting's canvass. So then, I would pay twenty dollars for this, and then I would look to make a modest profit by selling this painting at an art auction. :D. (Edit). I now see the boobies, its value to me has now doubled!

Sometimes I'm glad I don't tend to appreciate so much art, given that this wouldn't mean much stuck on a wall in my house, and a more realistic interpretation (presumably being of a female) would be much more appreciated.

Such paintings are valuable simply because a rarefied class
of intelligentsia & wealthy elites value what others of their ilk
value in the lofty world of artists vaunted for their place in the
evolving world of arcane art. It's not about beauty, meaning,
or skill....it's the collection...the ownership of something coveted
by others willing pay a fortune for it.
But let's not ignore the fact that some valuable art is wonderful,
& can even be appreciated by rustic janitors & groundskeepers.

I'd pay the customary ten dollars the city charges when you have them remove extra refuse on trash day.
