What is the difference between how Lucumi faith see's the Creator verses how Christians do? Do they believe the Creator is male or female? Is the Lucumi Creator defined by the stories (can't think of the p' name) that make it up (Like scripture to a Christian) or does he/she or it(?) exist outside of written language? Do you form a relationship with the Lucumi Creator? I was reading that the Creator is disconnected from our life and we talk to the Orishas and Ancestors in order to speak with him/her/it. Can lay practicioners divine to talk with the Orishas as well, or is that only the Babalos and Santerio(as)? Are the stories in the Lucumi faith considered literal... like that of Yemaya and so forth (just as some Christians believe the Bible as literal) or are they depictions of how each Orisha interacts with humans by different parts of nature...Yemaya, being ocean, and so forth?
Thanks in advance
