The significant difference is, of course, meaningful. Those who equate or equivocate them trivialize both.

Mind is a composition of images (propositions, thoughts or understandings) about the world.

Brain is one such composed image, understood to be the instrument of thought.

wow, i was thinking about that myself just recently
I think the clear difference is that one is physical and the other is metaphysical


the process to make a thought is physical, but the thought itself (especially imaginative and creative thoughts) are outside the realms of physics... thats my uneducated guess about it though...maybe im wrong, but they do seem very different to me.

ditto - the brain is just a tool for our mind/spirit....

brain is like a radio, receiving signals from our mind/spirit - the brain does not generate the signals, it receives them.

For practical reasons we say there is a separation but like with all of life it is my belief the separation is only an illusion.

The mind seems to be an emergent property of the brain. All known minds exist along with brains, but not all brains have minds (like broken ones).
