Even all humans do not think the same way. You believe in God and all paraphernalia, I don't. Some find existence boring, some have fun.Spiders don't think like humans, or vice versa.
When the prey comes, otherwise more wait. Do they stock their food (in times of plenty)?I think just sitting in a hole and eating all day would be my dream job.
Why would you ever feel that what is enjoyable for you as a human should also be more enjoyable for something like a spider? What the spider does is likely extremely fulfilling for it. It may be all that it "desires" (after a fashion) to do with its existence. To judge this and label it somehow "bad" or "wrong" is just plain foolish. You simply haven't thought very deeply about this, and you apparently can't understand things from any perspective but your own. It's pitiful, honestly. Not surprising, mind you... but you should be intellectually ashamed.Terrifying new species of spider discovered in Miami (msn.com)
So it lives its whole life virtually in a hole trying to catch something to eat...uck. And, as has been pointed out, "I" had no choice as to my birth, "I" didn't have to be around.

A boring existence for any species is self-inflicted.Terrifying new species of spider discovered in Miami (msn.com)

That spider should be lucky it's not a Male black widow.Terrifying new species of spider discovered in Miami (msn.com)

OK, I take it back about thinking a spider in a hole for most of its life has a boring existence. I imagine there are enzymes or whatever in its brain, if a spider has a brain, that keep it up and going...A boring existence for any species is self-inflicted.
Someday in the future I might be interested in learning more about spiders. I just found it fascinating that this little thing sets its whole life virtually in a small hole waiting to come out and grab a piece of food. So I take it back! IF it has a wondering mind, maybe it finds it very exciting. That spider should be lucky it's not a Male black widow.
Somehow I doubt there's much choice for this spider. Or any spider.A boring existence for any species is self-inflicted.

All I can say is Wow, you have your work cut out for you. Thanks for the detailed description. As Master Po asked Grasshopper, "Is not the spider, dependent on its web for sustenance, just as trapped as its prey?" Well, the spider is free to relocate and spin another web.
There is nothing new about trapdoor spiders, but that is a new species (Rockland). Their existence becomes much more tenuous and dangerous when you factor in pompilids (spider wasps, their natural predators that pry their doors open and eat them).
There are many synanthropic (means dwells near people) spiders and insects.
Here, I have an infestation of nedra spiders (closely related to hololena), which make funnel webs with trap doors. There are so many spiders that all of the plants are coated with webs. I had to clear them out last Halloween to make it less scary for the kids.
I also have a lot of bold jumper spiders (black with a white dot on the upper part of the abdomen). They don't have muscles in their jumping legs, but move them by pressure, and can therefore leap 25 feet. They don't spin webs, but leap at their prey. They often like to use their web material as bungee cords. Their bites hurt.
There are also orb weaver spiders that spin webs perhaps 30 feet in diameter. They love to spin them in the path to my front door, and it is a weird feeling to run into their webs.
Brown widow spiders are very common, as well. Unlike their close cousins, the black widows, which lay round egg sacks, the brown widows lay spikey egg sacks.
All of this makes us wonder what God's plans were when he made spiders. Why make someone faster than a human, but immobile by its web?
And you yourself don't sin? The height of hypocrisy. All I can say is Wow, you have your work cut out for you. Thanks for the detailed description.
At first God made a paradise like setting for Adam and Eve. Gleaning from this information, they didn't have any real problems until they sinned. Anyway, after that they were put out of that beautiful garden to fend basically for themselves, since they rejected God's guidance. One day I believe we won't be bothered by stinging spiders,. And even if they continue to exist (because there may be a need for them in the environment), I won't think of them as being bored.
Of course I sin. I never said I did not sin. How did you get the idea that I am not a sinner? Are you?And you yourself don't sin? The height of hypocrisy.
A more important matter is that the earth's axis is changing.
