Reading the link, it appears that negative Kelvin temps are
due to a quirk in the historical definition of absolute zero.
But I have little confidence in this view cuz it's all far above
my pay grade.

Well then, I suppose you could not be able to tell me what the temperature would be if all matter in the observable universe were compacted as tightly as possible together in the least amount of space with the highest possible density.

That's incredible. (I used the word 'cool' way too much, above).

I'm not going to pretend that I have a clue what the bit is really saying, but it reminds me of a short story by Larry Niven, and a cave, with a magical daemon guarding the doorway-- it let fast-moving air molecules out, but kept the slow moving ones in. The cave was significantly cooler inside than out.

Below zero gas? Seems like some kind of Side Show Dodge when described, and it also seems like it ought to violate Entropy. How can you have an engine greater than 100% efficiency?

To me, that says some of our Models need tweaking a bit.
