i know the abrahamic religions have a strange new belief that only some people reunite while others are eternally seperated, and i'm wondering where or why its was created. Fear tactics? control? Deanism and Goddess religion teaches that Dea created us from Her laughter, so we each have a spark of divinity within us (The Atma) which is connected with God and that every single creature also has this spark (Including plants and animals) and that every single creature will return to Dea in the end. (like that wiccan chant, "We all come from the Goddess, and to Her we shall return, like a drop of rain flowing to the ocean.") thoughts please

This is a very beautiful song. That and "Born of Water." I'd say we all return to the water and everyone's spirit walks the earth to take care of their loved ones. I don't know what an heaven what even look like. Each spirit is separate in their own accord even though we are all one humanity and one life.

How does a goddess religion define the afterlife?

Why did you conclude abrahamic religions have a strange new belief of some reunited others eternally separated ?
There was the Flood of Noah's day which destroyed a violent world sparing righteous Noah and family.
There was the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah after righteous Lot and family left the corrupted city.
So, why would anyone conclude that eternally separated (destroyed forever - Psalms 92:7) is strange and ' new ' .

Why that happened was for the sake of the righteousness.
Without divine involvement into mankind's affairs, then No one righteous would be left on Earth.

Yes i have heard that song as well, it is very pretty. As for the afterlife, well, many people believe many different things. Most pagans and goddess worshipers believe similarly in a more pantheist view, that when we die we simply return to the earth. I am a rare person in that i do believe in a Heaven and am not pantheist. (You could say that i am a panentheist in that i believe a spark of divinity exists in everything, but not that the physical word is divine itself.)

My thoughts are that "Deanism" is no more valid than Abrahamic monotheism. I don't believe in either, yet I don't rule out the possibility that either could be correct.

I hear you calling is one of my ritual songs.

I'm an animist. I thought I was a pantheist but then realize each thing and living has their own personality and unique spirit. I don't think about it too much. All these new words learned in the past few years of being on RF.

Thank you for introducing that song! I also am an animist! As in i believe that spirits exist within all things :) have you heard the song "The river is flowing"? It was one of my favorite songs back when i was wiccan, but its not compatible with my beliefs anymore.

Actually not yet. Ill have to look that up. I dont listen to goddess focus songs much since its not part of my faith. But the meaning behind them is great for ritual.

I have absorbed strength and wisdom from many spiritual-religious teachers, and on many occassions have spoken to people within Judaism who believe that everyone eventually returns to God.

    Hi Folks...

Interesting conversation...I have an observation to make here though - not aimed at anybody in particular, just general about how we think and actually perceive the Self - in that - all these labels and definitions that are bandied about - surely you (all) realise - you are still fully seeing the Self as - human - physical - mortal - not one of your labels or self descriptions here show me a connection the Divine at all - and indeed this is why the need to swap and change constantly as your(s) search obviously still continues...

So for NOW then - it is this "deanism" perhaps - but at other times it has been other things -"wiccan" is mentioned - animist - pantheist - what when the next "fad" or label comes up, another change in identity..??....

But do you (all) see..?...The more you cling to such MORTAL identity, and the more you allow your Self to NEED that mortal definition to VALIDATE your truth with - the more you will fail to attain your ETERNAL truth at all..can you see that ??.. Following after these purely mortal concerns and mortal IDENTITY - following OTHERS in that manner who then as we see are allowed to quite literally DEFINE YOU - and so will NEVER ALLOW you to commune directly WITH SPIRIT - and indeed that IS what you (all) seek isnt it..??..

Following these "religions" - any and all of them - can ONLY give you a PRECONCEIVED religious truth - a MANS truth - or womans - but NEVER the truth directly revealed from the Divine ;)

If you want THAT legitimate truth - then it needs to be experienced directly and not learned from those external sources of men and women....KNOW THY SELF FIRST - then and only then can you even judge which "religion" may apply to your TRUTH !!

And UNTIL you do indeed know the Self fully and properly - then I assure you (all) that NONE of those religions will EVER satisfy - because you seek THAT legitimate Divine truth always and yet the religions are simply not capable of giving it to you DIRECTLY so that you may EXPERIENCE it and thus KNOW who and what you ACTUALLY are.. We seek LEGITIMATE DIVINE TRUTH - we do not seek "mans version" or "womans version" but the LIVING and directly revealed truth of Self...

Nothing else will ever satisfy EXCEPT the directly revealed truth...This too has one of those "labels" we love - GNOSIS - and unless you have this truth of Who and What You ARE, revealed DIRECTLY then ALL those words of man and woman WILL LEAD YOU ASTRAY and can do nothing BUT lead you astray as they can give you ONLY truth from man or woman and nothing else - and their INTERPRETATION of their experience is NEVER going to satisfy the spiritual NEED - it MUST be experienced directly BY the Self to be understood - not taught secondhand as religion is ;)

So really - to come to know the truth of Self properly - demands that we quit paying attention to all those EXTERNAL sources - quit chasing MORTAL status - labels and defintions that apply to mortal life alone - quit following ALL religion entirely actually for as said it will ALWAYS lead you off course, give only truth from another mortal but NEVER truth revealed from the Divine...You will find that practically all the religions are useless - at the very first step they will fail you - and this is because as said they seek always to DEFINE you to tell you who and what you are - and that is entirely spiritually bogus as you NEED ot discover this truth directly to appreciate it .......

To know the legitimate truth of Self - and so the eternal nature of Self - absolutely requires us to give up ALL those PRECONCEPTIONS of who OTHERS have TAUGHT and ALLOWED us to thus far Be.....When we do this the eternal nature and the truth we seek, becomes NATURALLY revealed - without effort - and all that confusion from the "world out there" can finally end......

The concept of a path suggests those who follow one can go astray. For example, I feel that I could go left into legalism and hate or right into addiction and materialism. My Goddess and other expressions of the Eternal help me walk this path. In this sense, the way is narrow. The nightmare of hell, which I suppose can be tasted in this life, illustrates the end result of hate or addiction.

I personally am careful not to throw out too soon concepts important to other faiths as there may be a nugget of truth therein. In this case, there is a picture of karma, cause and effect, root and fruit. It is a picture of choice and how we as humans are honored as co-workers, co-creators. Even if in the ultimate end, we are not separated from the divine, we may need dreams and nightmares that show us the ends of paths we choose and make in life.

I am just pondering here and do not have a full answer...
