so is this just against Catholics/Christians only or any religion with a holy text?

'church' provides an important social/cultural interaction and identity.
Prayer is a means of becoming closer to Creator and as a way to express thankfullness.
Not everyone worries about death. For some its just another stage of life.

No , I'm just saying you shouldn't judge people of religion because non-religious people can be guilty of the same things. I'm one of those non-theist types myself.

OR
I am missing the point of this confusing thread.

I don't make moral judgements about people... what's your point?
Good to hear it.... mine too.
Why not?
Why not?

Never have never will..... I do worry that you won't make a point anytime soon, but that's another story.;)

I wouldn't. I would still know that God is with me. Nothing will cease the faith of God's people. You can take away prayer and church but that would not stop the Lord being with us.

Guess not....
Well, man... I can tell you that my faith is not based on "cloudy interpetations"... do you have anything specific you'd like to discuss, or were you just preaching?
when someone tells me gods design laid out in front me.

You are right in that moral codes can not be enforced behind closed doors... and as a non-Catholic they have NOTHING to do with you, so I'm wondering why it bothers you so much?
it bothers me because we all have been influenced by the church.
and im sorry again i didnt think debate was up for disection.
the new testament was written and church/state ruled by christians
morality is still in my mind encoded in my dna maybe
it was a scarry time it scared the world back in line

KK, I am happy to discuss this with you, if I only knew what "this" was :)

PS: It is not your DNA that causes your mind to think about morality.

Does this thread make sense if you play it backwards?
It probably follows the traditional rule of playing backwards -- "Freddie is the devil. Freddie is the devil." (Thank you Robin Williams)

LOL! "Freddie is the devil" would at least be a clear cut thesis. We could at least debate it.

I don't think you will be able to post a thread about God in the "Debate" section without drawing some dissenting opinion. In this case, I think much of the dissent is born of an inability to decipher exactly what you are saying.

I am seriously asking - is English your first language? If not, that may be part of the problem here.

"Does this thread make sense if you play it backwards?" - I loved this one. Have to "spread 'em around", but I laughed out loud at this.

Please rephrase what you meant by "woof". And no, God Himself is not a man, but the "man" within us.

Thankyou for sharing your thoughts; you are most welcome to them. As I am still unclear as to what you are actually asking or debating, I shall leave you to decide. Best wishes finding the answers you seek. Peace.

:woohoo: As much as I appreciate the fact that you think I'm so young and tight, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't use my name in your poetry......

Thank you! :flirt:

I AM SO SORRY EVERYONE ,

if you thought i was snubbin your belief, thats not what i do or make fun
i was asking if we could make a change in moral freedoms
then everyone was asking me if i was against their religion too.
thats all that i said besides a poem that renaldo should get soon.
i was condemed as iliterate, racist, and santanist
none of that is true. but the christian drove me home
and then he got a gun told me the word of god,
and loaded up his gun.. the church is on fire
i have the christians car and have the christians gun
the church is on fire. dont worry everyone. but first i must save the wiccan

i m sorry you can't come ,dont give teenage christians any gun
maybe the devil said to do it but i didnt hear no one

I'm sure that I do not speak for everyone, but I have to say that your style of expressing yourself is almost impossible for me to follow. I do not wish to accuse you of anything, I simply can't follow what you are trying to say. Like Renaldo, I'll simply bow out of the picture.

Best of luck,
