Was Islam spread by the sword?

So, you say in one discussion that in current times islam is all a lie except what is preached by your denomination while in this discussion you praise the spreading of islam no matter what denomination is involved as long as they call themselves muslims.
can't you see the contradiction of what you're doing?

It's clear selection bias. Count the hits regardless of sect, ignore all the misses and call it not Islam or Muslims.

Nazism wasn't spread by the sword
Today we watch Nazism spread in America.

Was nazism spread by the sword?
No.
For example:
Spread of nazism in america
nazi-flag.png
: [3]

The statistics for nazism in the u.s.a. estimate a total nazi population of approximately 500

There are several neo-Nazi groups in the United States. The National Socialist Movement (NSM), with about 400 members in 32 states,[155] is currently the largest neo-Nazi organization in the United States.[156] After World War II, new organizations formed with varying degrees of support for Nazi principles. The National States' Rights Party, founded in 1958 by Edward Reed Fields and J. B. Stoner countered racial integration in the Southern United States with Nazi-inspired publications and iconography. The American Nazi Party, founded by George Lincoln Rockwell in 1959, achieved high-profile coverage in the press through its public demonstrations.[157]

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees freedom of speech, which allows political organizations great latitude in expressing Nazi, racist, and anti-Semitic views. A First Amendment landmark case was National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie, in which neo-Nazis threatened to march in a predominantly Jewish suburb of Chicago. The march never took place in Skokie, but the court ruling allowed the neo-Nazis to stage a series of demonstrations in Chicago.

this should either prove that nazism wasn't spread by the sword or make him stop him doing his thing.
But knowing him i'm pretty sure this will be definitely ignored, misrepresented or misunderstood, just to prove once more how in his heart is more important to annoy other people with his copy&paste thing than the actual honesty of the argument he uses.

Did Nazism spread with sword in America? You both must be well versed in this regard. Please
Regards

It didn't. And we can take this as a sure sign that if it didn't spread in America by the sword it didn't spread to any nation in history by the sword. Sword is only ever a hindrance in the spread of Nazism.

Further to Posts #2717, #2720 , #2722, and #2942 in response to OP's Post #1 I have to add:
Those who doubt that Islam spread peacefully in times of Muhammad they should focus on spread of Ahmadiyya true Islam, If it has happened now peacefully, it should be a clear sign for the doubtful that Islam spread peacefully in times of Muhammad.
I gave how Ahmadiyya spread peacefully in Argentina post #2430, Australia Post #2460 , Austria Post #2489, Bangladesh Post #2513, Belarus Post #2535, Belgium Post#2556, Belize #2571, Bulgaria Post #2595, Cameroon Post #2619, Canada Post #2636,Chad Post #2651,Congo #2672, Denmark #2703, Egypt #2824, Fiji #2883, France #2942, Germany #3025 .

Jamia Ahmadiyya International, Ghana

BRIEF HISTORY OF
JAMIA AHMADIYYA
INTERNATIONAL

Established in 1906
In Ghana: Since 21 March 1966 as Ahmadiyya Muslim Missionary Training College
As Jamia Ahmadiyya Int. Ghana Since 26th August 2012

http://www.jamiaghana.org/about/
It is a missionary training school or a seminary of Ahmadiyya. Ahmadiyya has established many such seminaries in different part of the world. some of them are:
  1. Qadian, India
  2. Rabwah, Pakistan
  3. London, England
  4. Toronta, Canada
  5. Ghana.
These have been established under guidance from Quran/Islam/Muhammad:
[9:122]It is not possible for the believers to go forth all together. Why, then, does not a party from every section of them go forth that they may become well versed in religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may guardagainst evil?
http://www.alislam.org/quran/search2/showChapter.php?submitCh=Read+from+verse%3A&ch=9&verse=122
Ahmadiyya has spread peacefully far and wide around 207 countries of the world by these trained teachers/missionaries in religion, as it did in the times of Muhammad and after.
This is a fact, must be remembered by our friends.
Country/Region:
23px-Flag_of_Ghana.svg.png
Ghana
Ahmadiyya population : 635,000*
Percentage (%) of Muslims :16.0
Percentage (%) of population :2.5
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ahmadiyya_by_country
*
Ghana's Muslims have previously raised concern over the census figures which states that 17% of Ghanaians belong to the Muslim faith. It is claimed that Muslims represent somewhere between 30 and 45% of Ghana. Under this, the Ahmadiyya population would number almost 2 million. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community itself gives an estimate of over 2 million Ahmadis in Ghana. See:
"Muslims cry foul over population figures". News From Africa. Retrieved April 30, 2014.

Does one see any sword used for spread of Ahmadiyya true Islam in

Ghana ?

Do friend Flankerl and friend cambridge79 also agree with it?
What about Judaism and Atheism? Please

That is correct.
A you have informed us , the members of this forum, it has spread to 500 persons. In how many years? Is Nazism a truthful world-view? Please
Regards
you just showed us that in chile there are only 4000 muslims, and islam had 1500 years to spread. So by your own logic ( i know assuming you have a logic is ironically a big leap of faith ) islam is an even more false doctrine than nazism.

To add to post r#3072,#3073:
Muhammad did not use any traps for anybody, he rather freed people from the shackles they were in not in their arms and feet but in their necks. Quran mention it:
[36:8]Surely the word has proved true against most of them, for they believe not.
[36:9]We have put round their necks, chains reaching unto the chins, so that their heads are forced up.
[36:10]And We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and have covered them over, so that they cannot see.

So, friend Flankerl is wrong to describe the phenomenon. Please

No.
Islam did not spread by sword. In fact sword is a hindrance in the way of spread of Islam. Quran provides both commandments and the gist of wisdom of the same; this peculiarity is not retained in book of any other revealed religion.Islam flourishes most in peace with its strong reasonable and rational arguments.

Spread of Islam in China: [2]
260px-Huaisheng_Mosque_Dec_2007.jpg

The Huaisheng Mosque is a mosque, whose construction is attributed to the Prophet Muhammad's second cousin, Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqas

While modern secular historians tend to say that there is no evidence for Waqqās himself ever coming to China,[12] they do believe that Muslim diplomats and merchants came to Tang China within a few decades from the beginning of the Muslim Era.[12] The Tang Dynasty's cosmopolitan culture, with its intensive contacts with Central Asia and its significant communities of (originally non-Muslim) Central and Western Asian merchants resident in Chinese cities, which helped the introduction of Islam.[12] The first major Muslim settlements in China consisted of Araband Persian merchants.[13] During the Tang and especially the Song eras, comparatively well-established, even if somewhat segregated, mercantile Muslim communities existed in the port cities of Guangzhou, Quanzhou, and Hangzhou on China's southeastern seaboard, as well as in the interior centers such as Chang'an, Kaifeng, and Yangzhou.[14] After critical analysis, it is evident that Saad ibn abi Waqqas and the three other Sahabas who were preaching from 616-18 were noticed by Emperor Wu-De by 618 AD. Guangzhou is home to four mosques, including the famous Huaisheng Mosque believed to have been built by Saad ibn Abi Waqqas, the second cousin of Muhammad. The city also has a grave believed to be that of ibn Abi Waqqas (father of Sa'd ibn abi Waqqas).[15]

Islam was brought to China during the Tang dynasty by Arab traders, who were primarily concerned with trading and commerce, and not concerned at all with spreading Islam. They did not try to convert Chinese at all and only did commerce. It was because of this low profile that the 845 anti-Buddhist edict during the Great Anti-Buddhist Persecution said absolutely nothing about Islam.[16] It seems that trade occupied the attention of the early Muslim settlers rather than religious propagandism; that while they observed the tenets and practised the rites of their faith in China, they did not undertake any strenuous campaign against either Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, or the State creed, and that they constituted a floating rather than a fixed element of the population, coming and going between China and the West by the oversea or the overland routes.[17][18]

Song dynasty[edit]
By the time of the Song Dynasty, Muslims had come to play a major role in the import/export industry.[10][14] The office of Director General of Shipping was consistently held by a Muslim during this period.[19] In 1070, the Song emperor Shenzong invited 5,300 Muslim men from Bukhara, to settle in China in order to create a buffer zone between the Chinese and the Liao empire in the northeast. Later on these men were settled between the Sung capital of Kaifeng and Yenching (modern day Beijing).[20] They were led by Prince Amir Sayyid "So-fei-er" (his Chinese name) who was reputed of being called the "father" of the Muslim community in China. Prior to him Islam was named by the Tang and Song Chinese as Dashi fa ("law of the Arabs").[21] He renamed it to Huihui Jiao ("the Religion of the Huihui").[22]

The tombs of Sa-Ke-Zu and Wu-Ko-Shun at Mount Lingshan, Quanzhou

"On the foothills of Mount Lingshan are the tombs of two of the four companions that Prophet Muhammad sent eastwards to preach Islam. Known as the "Holy Tombs," they house the companions Sa-Ke-Zu and Wu-Ko-Shun—their Chinese names, of course. The other two companions went to Guangzhou and Yangzhou." [23] The Imam Asim, also spelt Hashim, is said to have been one of the first Islamic missionaries in the region of China. He was a man of c.1000 CE in Hotan. The shrine site includes the reputed tomb of the Imam, a mosque, and several related tombs. [24] There is also a mazaar of Imam Zafar Sadiq.[25]

Hi everyone. Some people say that Islam was spread by the sword. Others say that it was not. The Koran says that there is to be no compulsion in religion so it would seem that Islam's sacred text would condone religious freedom. But was this really the case historically? Here is the reference from the Koran which I am referring to.

Those ISIS people live exactly like "Prophet Mohammmed" (copying his life in all possible ways). The only difference is that in place of the sword, they use modern amnuation.
For every word that goes for peace in Koran, there are 50 versus that goes againt it. The followers of this religion (ofcourse with exceptions) are the most intolerant people especially towards other religion.

This is an evil religion which has eliminated many other great and peaceful civilizations from the face of earth through shear violence and trickery.
This is a rabid religion that spreads by sword and propagates by brainwashing. This religion has no virtues - it is a hindrance to science and technology and it is destined to take humanity to dark ages.

Every culture that has a Muslim population is under serious threat.
