I found this when researching my favourite historical figure, Jesus Christ:

Jesus may have been a hermaphrodite, claims academic

So… did Jesus of Nazareth have “hidden female physical features” and was therefore both male and female?

    Does this even sound likely?

I think he had stereotypically feminine character traits, so maybe

It would also make him more representative of humanity

But we can never know for sure

    And I don't think it's important anyway

And he obviously identified as male so we should probably respect that

There are actually just lots of "intersex" folk around. I am XXY Non-Kleinfelter's. As to why it would make any difference in his role and purpose, I don't think it would. Intersex folk are said to make up around 1.7% of world population.

( Luke 2:21 ) ... Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived.

Jesus Christ was created in a lab test tube by extraterrestrial scientists. (Angels) They extracted nuclei from the fibroblasts of an aborted human fetus and inserted this into an egg cell (ova) that had its own nuclei removed. The extraterrestrial scientists (Angels) used two enzymes to erase the epigenetic memory of the transferred nuclei of having been somatic cells. The extraterrestrial geneticist (Gabriel) then put the ova into the surrogate mother Mary, resulting in her pregnancy, that'd produced the physical body of Christ.

It is possible that he was intersex but that all those who knew him and saw him preach and work miracles took him as a pure man as that's what he looked like - he had a willy (we know he was circumcised), a beard, no breasts etc., hence he was treated and known as a pure man and was recorded as such in the bible

    ...according to the historical record

...that could be mistaken and/or inaccurate

...and written by people who were ignorant of such things

I think the only thing we can be certain about is that we won't ever know for sure

Well, first, if I'm going to believe the literary and historical accounts to the extent that their claim that Jesus existed is true, then I might as well believe the literary and historical accounts to the extent that their claim that Jesus was a man is also true.

It wouldn't make much sense for me to accept that Jesus existed, but then hold that He was actually an orangutan or something, despite how He is described in the literary and historical accounts.

And then there's the prophet thing and all...

A fair point, but to that I would say that the authors of the bible may have not realised he was intersex, so would record him as a man - especially if in all his mighty authority he identified as being simply a man. If he was intersex maybe he himself didn't know?

I still maintain it is possible for him to have been both, in spite of your point about the bible

Let's speculate: What if God wanted to send a woman prophet to Earth in or around the time he sent Christ - the patriarchal society of that time would have treated her as a witch! They wouldn't have paid any attention to her message. She'd have been born a second-class person for life and her life would have been mostly drudgery, submission and servitude. How could God get over that? Send the next best thing - a female who is externally male!

Perhaps the twelve disciples were in on this but supported him, and one of the reasons the religious establishment was against him was because they knew too, but felt threatened by him?

I think this makes sense, as speculation

To which I would say that those who wrote the historical accounts may have been unaware of his true nature - the accounts may be unreliable with regard to that issue

    What prophet thing? Do tell
