Just thought I'd let everyone know that I have an consuming desire to learn to pole dance. The biggest problem is buying the pole. I want a portable pole but they are so expensive. I think I could do it though. I've been watching examples of it on youtube, and I think I've got the stuff. I just wish I had some green stuff to go along with my other stuff. Any other ladies out there wanna do that, or ever thought of it?

I used to think it was just some slutty moves set to a pole, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It is very artistic and athletic.

You go girl! Walking in 5 or 6 inch heels is hard enough -- it does take alot more than people think but its fun! The stripper work-out is real popular here maybe you could take a class and practice before you install a pole in your house -- its works you out hardcore -- you can do it! :eek:

A little gun shy so I'll not be taking a class. I think I can learn it via dvd. I'm gonna have to cuz I aint gettin in front of nobody doin that.....except the hubby of course.

I had a friend in college who wanted to learn to dance, and so bought an instructional DVD on how to. Turned out that it was an exotic dance video done by a porn star. She kept at it, but made sure to lock her dorm door and shut the blinds lest she was discovered. :D

But, she said it great exercise!

Carmen may be cheaper but I want the experience of the actual pole. Not so much for working out because I work out everyday, i just wanna have fun.

Honestly, I admire the talent of someone who can do it, more than the erotic part of it. I've talked with some girls who have sprained there ankles doing it, pulled muscles, and even a broken ankle.

Apparantly its very good for weight loss - I could never do it - (a) I dont have the strength (b) I do unfortunately have the idea that its slutty - but thats only because the only ones i have seen is in night clubs!

Dont take this the wrong way - youve surprised me, I wouldnt have thought a muslim woman would have been allowed to do it, as its very "suggestive" as they say!
