Vuse e cig has burnt taste after a few puffs

Hi all, I am new to the world of e cigs and don't know what's going on with mine. I have a vuse ecig and just yesterday I bought one of the chai blister packs and now both of the cartridges are tasting burnt. I don't know what I'm doing to make it taste burnt, could the battery be getting low? I need to know also how to fix it because I don't have the money to buy a new battery or to keep buying the cartridges every time it gets burnt. If theres nothing can do, I don't know what I'm going to do, maybe I'll buy a different brand or buy a mark ten vape, they look interesting, I just don't know anymore. Thanks in advance for the information.
