I'm mining my old posts from a thread I posted in a private board as I find them more informative than I remembered on the subject of transgender. I thought it might be good to make the videos public, and I'll be posting three different kinds of video. I'll provide the disclaimer ahead of time that these videos could get about as NSFW or PG+ as threads in this here Sexuality board usually run.

    First, an educational one:

Then one talking socially about the changes of a male-to-female:

Now just an inspirational one as just a bonus video:

I watched your last video. His testosterone levels are/were definitely higher than mine because i can't even grow a beard, he has a full beard plus.
Many male's have more hair on their chest than I have on my chest, legs, arms and face combined. But I have Cherokee heritage which would contribute to that.
And no I have never been confused about my gender.

I wanted to clarify that body and facial hair may not be the best indicator of testosterone level. I had a low testosterone level before getting on hormones, yet I could grow a beard and had hairy arms.

I was about to say the same, but while I ran off to fact check my belief, you beat me to it!

Yeah. It's a really complicated subject as to say testosterone has no effect on facial and body hair growth would be inaccurate, but also to say it's the only thing that sustains it, doesn't seem accurate at all either.

You don't wanna see my legs if I neglect them for long enough.

I have legs that can get hairy. If left unchecked, they'd make good legs if I was a cis male (maybe), but bad legs for a female (if left without shaving). But yeah, I do try to keep up shaving when I can.

I found men's beard hair in my razor this last weekend (I have two male roommates), and judging from the color, I know which one. This reminds me that I need to have a conversation about that. Also I need a new razor anyway, or new heads anyway. (I'm not that icked out by hair, but it's getting dull anyway... probably because of people running it through coarse beard hair without my permission!!! Anger!!)

I'm happy for the success stories, but it ought to be noted that "results are not typical" is not a meme.

But education is the proper and good route to go to garner perspective.

That's weird I'll admit. I'm bald, muscular, but truth be told I have a girly sissy voice.

I wonder if I have higher estrogen in me then the average male has.

    True account.

It's definitely very true some have much better results than others. But some also don't factor in all the work that goes in, either, and stay not looking -that- much different, even after hormones, as a result. So what I'm saying is, the hormones may certainly not be the only thing one has to do if they want to be passable.

One thing I noticed is transition has progressed quite extensively over the years. It's a testament to medical science and technology.

One can only imagine that transitioning in the future could very well become a non issue someday.

given the videos focus on the mind body disparity; so the underlying things is the mind doesn't see the body as compatible, or representative to its being?

I'm trans and I'll explain how it was for me...

First, try to picture yourself in your mind, how you look. Can you do it?

Well, when I've tried to, I end up with a mental image of a brunette female, more or less. Looking in the mirror became a pain after awhile when I was a cis male. My mind was unhappy after awhile. I found it hard fitting in, some of those reasons being my gender, and I experienced a lot of anxiety.

so i don't like having my picture taken. Not because I don't like my body, my looks, but because that isn't me in the picture. its more like a frame in a piece of film. I've seen so many different versions of me over the decades that not any one of those are indicative of me. I realize people recognize others based on similar looks but which one of those frames in that film is me? all of them and none of them alone. it would seem there is a constant costume change in this life playing itself out as experience.

so i'm speaking of what i see and not what I want to see regarding myself.

i had a suspicion that I was female in the previous life. i followed that thought.

consciousness is a very, very interesting thing that doesn't necessarily conform to what it sees so much as what it wants to be.

    best wishes in your journey
