Right - so the CCP, Chinese Communist Party is also a misnomer. When will they learn the proper terminology.

You are comparing apples and oranges.

In its own written constitution, the PRC declares itself "a socialist state", with its leadership calling their ideology "Socialism with Chinese characteristics".

North Korea, on the other hand, does not call itself "socialist". The official ideology of North Korea is called Juche, and as far as I can tell, the current constitution of North Korea has expunged all references to Marx or Marxism.

They are two different countries, with two different regimes, and two different official state ideologies.

They don't want to be called Juche or Maoist. They want to be called communists, because at the time those names were picked, communism was very popular and well seen. It's for the same reason national-socialists called themselves socialist even though they killed and imprisonned them. It's propaganda. The Lord's Resistance Army isn't some sort of freedom fighter organisation they are the Christian version of ISIS. Names aren't what you are; they are what you want people to think you are.

The North Korean regime absolutely wants to be called Juche. It's in their own constitution.

They even built a monument to the Juche ideology:

Yes, Joseph Stalin developped a form of State centered socialism called commonly referred to as stalinism which is a basically an offshot of leninism applied to the absolute extreme. What's your point?
