Adam is the original "root" גזע of the entire human race. Unfortunately the original root had a new tree grafted onto it before it produced its first "branch" חוטר. -----Cain is the first-fruit of the branch grafted onto the original root such that until the virgin birth of Jesus of Nazareth the human race had no inkling (so to say) of what the written text of the Torah was getting on about when it implied (with clarification from Jewish midrashim) that a new branch was grafted onto the original root of the human race in Bere****h 2:21. -----Until Jesus' unique birth, there was no inkling (so to say) that Cain represented a different species than Adam; specifically, a sexually reproducing species grafted onto a species designed to be a clonal-colony reproducing through basal-shoots forming a mammalian representation of a clonal arboretum.

Within this revealed context, the female ovum ("seed of the woman") represents the last vestige of the original root of the original (pre-sexual) human race such that every time phallic-sex occurs, the species grafted onto the original DNA of Adam is merely producing in the way that species always reproduces. -----I once gave the analogy of a fellow whose fruit farming friend gives him a beautiful apple tree as a gift. He plants it. Waters it. Eats its fruit. Until the day he intends to go away on a long journey. He doesn't want the fruit building up in his absence so he decides to cut the tree down to the root and bury it with soil.

When he returns, there where his beloved apple tree was cut down, stands a full-grown olive tree. Initially he's stunned. It seems like some demonic magic has transformed his beloved apple tree, the very apple of his eye, in into an olive tree? It's only when he tells his bizarre tale to his fruit farming friend that he learns fruit farmers often graft one species onto the root of another to provide say an apple tree with a heartier root, say an olive root.

The same thing happened when Jesus of Nazareth started producing Torah that tasted different than the fruit (see Rashi Gen. 1:11) of what was thought to be the original Tree of Life (the original Torah scroll). -----Jesus said, you've tasted the fruit of the Torah that's similar to such and such, but I offer you fruit from the original tree, prior to the grafting on of the branch whose fruit you assume is original.

The Jews of Jesus' day were as dumbfounded by the new fruit Jesus offered as was the owner of the apple tree that started producing olives. In both cases what was assumed to be the whole truth was in fact not the whole truth and nothing but. In both cases something was hidden in the very root that shocked the hell out of those who thought they were the possessors of the whole truth and nothing but, such that the angst you see in the Jewish response to most everything I write is easily interpreted based on the fact that they assume they're the possessors of the original Tree of Life (the Torah scroll) when the tree they posses has in fact been grafted onto the root of the true Torah as a desecration of the original intent of the original Author and creator of that Tree.

Part and parcel of the nature of this discussion is the idea that we don't know the nature of the root stock until it sprouts its first Branch. The Bible implies that since Cain is the first-fruit of the branch grafted onto Adam, we can know almost nothing about the fruit of the root stock, nor even the root stock itself (since its underground so to say), until its first Branch sprouts.

All of humanity are produced from Cain as the fruit of the branch grafted onto Adam (who is the original root stock). And since the original root stock is hidden beneath the soil of the woman, such that what grows out of that soil is assumed to be completely representative of the root, we don't even look to the root under the assumption something profane has been grafted onto it.

That is until the twentieth century when we begin to tamper with genetics:

We pointed out that germ cells are like asexually reproducing single cells, and like the micronuclei of some of the protocists, in that they are potentially immortal. Part of the reason for this may be that they are able to purge harmful mutations from their DNA [as meiosis purges the female ovum]. We ourselves descend from these immortal cells; how do we become mortal? What happens to a potentially immortal haploid germ cell after fertilization, when it fuses with another potentially immortal haploid germ cell to become a diploid zygote; what is the "mortality state" of this founding cell as it embarks on the construction of a completely new individual who will be mortal.

Professor William R. Clark, Professor of Immunology and Chair, Emeritus, of the Department of Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology at UCLA.

What Professor Clark doesn't known, that I know, is that meiosis removes the "mortality state" from the female ovum such that unlike the male reproductive cell it is returned to the original state of humanity, immortality. Since the male reproductive cell doesn't "throw-off" the matter representing the grafting found in Genesis 2:21 (the original mutation), only the combining of the still contaminated cells with the pure "seed of the woman" continues to produce fruit that rots and dies in utter opposition to the original root that is immortal.

Produce offspring from the germ cell after it's gone through meiosis, but before it's recontaminated, and that person will be immortal.

Jesus is that person. And the Gospel message rests on the fact that unlike every one of Cain's offspring who are programmed to die at conception, Jesus wasn't. He gave his life for the salvation of the world. It wasn't taken from him. It couldn't be taken from him. Since he was immortal. He gave it freely. According to the original Plan of the Father, so that those of us who are conceived through the tree grafted onto the root stock in Genesis 2:21, can still obtain the same immortality as Jesus of Nazareth by means of a process that is only now, in these End Times, coming to be understood scientifically.

Later in his book, Professor Clark actually, unknowingly, describes precisely, how even though Jesus gave his biological life on the Cross, Jesus can share that life with all those who are willing and able to receive it. In the same way Professor Clark inadvertently points out that asexual reproduction can retain the immortality status of the early germ-cell, he goes on to describe, scientifically mind you, how even after an immortal man has died, he can still share his immortality with others.

. . . Did anyone happen to notice the title of Professor Clark's book? -----Sex and the Origins of Death:

Obligatory death as a result of senescence – natural aging – may not have come into existence for more than a billion years after life first appeared. This form of programmed death seems to have arisen at about the same time that cells began experimenting with sex in connection with reproduction. It may have been the ultimate loss of innocence.

Professor William Clark, Sex and the Origins of Death, (Oxford University Press, 1996), prologue XI.

Professor Clark is clear that the germ-line is immortal. It's only after the shatnez-transgressing mixing of unlike genders that mortality comes on the scene. In the quotation I provided earlier in the thread Professor Clark hypothesizes that the early cells my have had a mechanism to purge harmful mutations from their DNA. And since mixing genders is a harmful mutation of God's original design that brings mortality along with it, the reproductive cell must purge itself of the contamination gained from the mutant mixing if it's to regain its original immortality. The female ovum purges itself of the contamination through oogenesis. The male reproductive cell doesn't go through oogenesis. It retains the mutant contaminant that resulted in Cain being the first mutant strain of the human race.

When Jesus is born from a cell that purged itself from the mutant strain that's the posterity of Cain, i.e., Jesus is born exclusively from the "seed of the woman" (the post-oogenesis pre-fertilization ovum) he begins a new strain of the human race, which, as Rabbi Kaplan points out, is virtually a new species. -----St. Paul doesn't hedge his bet like Rabbi Kaplan. Paul point-blank calls the offspring of Jesus of Nazareth a "new species" (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The fact that the Prophets speak clearly and often of an actual mechanism whereby sexual mixing doesn't occur (basal-shoots out of the original root ---Isa. 11:1; Zech. 6:12), and they use this mechanism exclusively for the birth of messiah, who is the redeemer of the strain placed on the human race by Cain (and his sire) is almost too ridiculous to believe.
