I've been reading Tirumular's classic, and only rarely get something out of it I can sort of relate to. Most of it is waaaay too deep for me. But ... the other day I got this.
"I am the Supreme One" says Vedanta
"I shall become the Supreme One" says Siddhanta
It struck me as comparable to 'You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink'
Vedanta is the horse drinking the water, whereas Siddhanta is getting him there.
