If you are not Christian why would you by a bible to keep in the car?
A symbol to soothe the savage beast (cop).
I travel with a large load of machinery & tools, but without a commercial
license or federal registration. So there's always the risk that a cop
(miffed by my driving past truck weigh stations) might make an angry
challenge against my exemption from those requirements.
I strive to inspire friendliness & comradery.
Oh, I also post evidence of my being a volunteer engineer at the
501c3 museum where I run & loan engines. Many cops like engines.
