I am considered ineligible to donate bone marrow. Because I am apparently too depressed. Never mind the fact I've been stable for several years. It's because i get disability. They think if i get disability and have depression it would be a risk to my safety.

Im upset about it. I can't help but be a little disappointed. I was hoping to at least get through to the blood drawn part wasn't expected to get rejected at the paperwork part

I'm sorry to hear that, but that makes sense to an extent. They don't want to do anything that might exacerbate your mental health conditions.

I think I'll make a financial donation instead to the gift of life registry. That'll make me feel better and I'll be doing something. Since I cant give bone marrow

Thing is im not on disability for depression. Im on it cuz of autism. But cuz I have depression and am on it i cant donate marrow.
