That's laughable. What's your source? Or is this just another "Trump Truth"?

"Source, Sunstone? Why I myself saw the President pull that fact out of his very own butt right on Fox News! Trump that for truth, Sunstone!"

I presume you mean Johns Hopkins. If you’re going to go with them you might at least know their name.:p

If you read what I wrote you would have read that the per capita is more germane. On both a per capita rate and rate of spread of infection the U.S. is doing much better that other countries. The majority of Americans approve of the job President Trump is handling this situation. If you don’t, that’s just you.

Interesting to note: "Total number of COVID-19 cases in the United States by date reported"

    Cases in U.S. | CDC

I wonder why the New York Times & Johns Hopkins have a much higher
    number than the CDC?
But I wouldn't be surprised that we'd have now or eventually more cases
that China. Their form of government is much more suited to addressing
a pandemic than is ours, no matter which party is in power.

    From the CDC link...
"* Does not include cases among persons repatriated to the United States from Wuhan, China and Japan." ?

I think some people might have stronger immune systems. I've read that some people could have had the coronavirus and recovered already and not even know it. I read another article which said that in Iceland, half of those who tested positive showed no symptoms whatsoever. I think they're trying to test the entire population, which is what we should do here. I'd like to be tested, but I'm not sick or showing any symptoms. Not yet, anyway.

Hmmm...if they were infected overseas, it would then be
questionable to blame Trump for their being infected.

Hey even with my condition I'm still running out and doing my part and not worrying about getting it or not, because I respect and live by one statement from Native Americans.....

~When the blood in your veins returns to the sea, and the earth in your bones returns to the ground, perhaps then you will remember that this land does not belong to you, it is you who belongs to this land.~

And yes we will collectively survive. 7 digit numbers or not which is a load of bull s*** anyways because if that had been the case, you would have seen those seven digits already manifesting in large populations.

Maybe if you stop projecting sensational numerical theories of mortality rates and look at reality, that even if you catch it the odds are that you will survive it, even those infirmed and weak although the prospects of the latter are not as rosy.

And I'm willing to put those words to the test myself because I'm out there working, with the health conditions I have, and I'm not afraid of catching it. If I survive, I know I'll be better off next time around I perchance catch it no matter what.

It could be that some partisans might be more aggressive in assigning blame.

I think there is plenty of blame to go around.....the unanswered (and unanswerable) question is would it have bee any different under a different administration.

Trump could kick you in the nuts and slap your mom and you would still attempt to put a positive spin on it.

Ignorance... You read some herd immunity article and now think you what's best for the our country.

    Please stop.

Your logic won't help the increased population of folks that will die from this strategy.

Herd immunity is a valid argument.

I think sometimes people should finally start looking at what it means to face one's own mortality and recognize we are , like it or not, a part of Nature and the way things work alongside the plethora of other species on this planet who face the exact same things respectively in terms of infection and sickness.

I have the opinion if we get too artificially dependent, then we will get to a point where we will be so biologically weak if that dependency is lost, that we will have those figures go off the scale the levels of the black plague in the medieval days for which even under those extreme conditions, those countries clearly survived with their populations intact and recovering.

Black Death Left a Mark on Human Genome | Science | AAAS

I've already accepted the prospects of my own mortality, and I'm willing to admit I am a part of nature.

I'm not afraid to face my death any more, because I can accept that as being the way life works. Even if I don't live through this, I know others will survive and a population will be stronger for it for future generations.

Is that the best you can do? The best? I can see you were the kid who brilliantly pondered the similarities between Venn diagrams and stick-figure breasts in middle school math class.

With all the changing info, I'll bet everyone will
make wrong recommendations wrong at times.
Would Hillary have handled it better? There'll be
many answers, but they don't really know.
