UK - Police will enter homes and break up Christmas dinners

It would be difficult if one did a lot of travelling to know what is banned in many countries. Of course, virtually any weapon is also banned in the UK, even if bought abroad whilst on holiday.
Not true about the UK,
There are many licensed weapons in this country. There are many shooting clubs, rough shooting on farms is common, grouse and game shooting is the sport of the upper classes. I've even been clay pigeon shooting, great fun.

My wife has many knives in the kitchen and in the garden
I have knives for DIY jobs.
I carry knives when I'm fishing.

There is not a carpet ban - but it is suspicious if you are caught with an offensive knife (as opposed to a small pocket penknife) in town on a Friday evening.
That's news to me. Not think I can read the link I posted?
