the reports I saw said that only 150 personnel will be left in Iraq by the turn of the year. this one says 160(10 person difference).
Obama had been blasted by the GOP, not for bringing the troops home but for announcing the time frame.

Well, you don't really need wars when you have no problem either assassinating opponents or inciting the masses to kill them for you.

I'll believe it when I see it.

    150? Are you sure that wasn't 15,000? maybe 150,000?

I think the whole Iraq deal should have been a show of force from the get go. It was watered down more and more as time went by.
I'm not ashamed to believe this. Sometimes you gotta give an ignorant person a black eye to teach them a lesson but, to be honest about my veiw of it, the liberals made us pull our punch which resulted in a waste of lives and resources.
I'm ready to get out and let the Iraqies deal with it. We tried and defeated ourselves.

Why, and what, were punching in the first place?

The hell are you talking about, it was all about a show of force round one and two. Bush went ahead and plastered victory signs the first weeks in.
Do you understand basic history? That idiotic sentence contains all the jewels of Imperialism and Oreintalism. An ignorant person? You think that the wars was one on human or ethical principle? Do you understand the ******* irony in that claim alone?

The liberals didn't make you pull any punch. The Americans were unequipped and unready to understand just what happened when they dissolved Saddam's army and tried to tout their illegal war and occupation for the next decade.
That's might nice of you to let them clean your mess.

And sometimes you gotta phosphorus bomb their children.. and them.. ya know.. to teach them a lesson... and give $400,000 per bomb to GE.

I don't know. It seemed like we punched the **** out of Saddam relatively fast. We were throwing even more punches (sometimes you gotta dish out more than one black eye if you are trying to teach multiple lessons), but I guess that was like.. to... teach...... lessons?

Sure , why not. They do a great job of killing their own children anyway. It's not about lessons, it's (or it should be) saying f with us at your own peril. But it gets bogged down in legal BS and worries of collateral damage that tie the hands of our troops and puts them in peril.
Hearts and minds, jack that. It didn't have to be Iraq. It could have been Syria, Afganistan (oh ,that's right, we're in there now but nobody is doing any major complaining because TOTUS sent us in there), Iran, Pakistan, I really don't care.
Nothing is going to change over there until the midieval cultural ideology is thrown off by the people themselves. Meanwhile, they need to be reminded to keep it over there.
The middle eastern brand of Islam simply doesn't do a good job of assimilating anywhere it goes. But then that's not it's job. It's job is to create one world under Islamic rule.
    Imperialism, pffffft.

So... we should just keep dropping more bombs on children in response?

I would thinking sending them to a foreign country with an ill advised plan over oil and banking interests would be the most legitimate peril.

Don't worry, I complain about the vast majority of bombing children, regardless of historical or national ties.

Well, not bombing would be one change. For example, the wouldn't be getting bombed from airplanes anymore.

    ?? I don't even know what that means ??

Yeah, well that's religion for ya. I just don't see where the bombing of children comes in.

Us or Islam? Wait, either way, yah.

We've shown them and the rest of the middle east that we can't commit to anything.
It's all been for nothing and our policies of appeasement and backing down will continue as will our leaders propensity for throwing our allies under the bus.

No one is advocating the bombing of children.
It is well documented that women and children are used as human shields in that region.
