What is U.S. culture to you? Post pics or vids if you will. Visuals are nice.

I don't think the admins would like it if we posted porn, pictures of drug use, and fill posts with excessive profanity and blasphemous terms. We could probably get away with drunken videos of annoying people and pictures showing greed, but I'm good on finding them.

Surely that alone isn't U.S. culture to you?

I'm having problem posting pictures. But US culture is comprised of three things: ATM Machines, Gas Stations, and Grocery Stores. Yeah, we could quibble of the smaller stuff. But those 3 cover the majority of it.

You do not say where you are from. I was born along the west coast of America and have lived mostly in Oregon. It is very pretty here, though in the winter I get depressed from the rain.

Americans used to be sweet, helpful and patriotic. I grew up on a farm and loved it. In the Trump years life has become frightening and I fear our culture is near collapse. To one who studies history seriously, America is a robber baron nation, and has created lots of problems for themselves and the places they have touched. The Drug war is a meaningless effort at curing a problem, blaming it on others, when American consumptive ness created it. We are in great danger and it is doubtful that we will mend our way.

The US is an adolescent - sometimes utterly kind and generous, sometimes stupid, sometimes depressed, sometimes weird.

Yes, and very much in need of an adult in the house. Trump is not it.

So the whole point of the thread is that the U.S. is great and everyone wants to come here.

America undoubtedly has a multiplicity of cultures.
Some of them quite enviable, but nearly all of them either subsumed or submerged by grossly corrupted politics, criminality, greed. and prejudice, and all justified by a disfigured religion, and supported with an fascination with guns and killing things.
Fortunately there are wide oceans on both sides of the USA to help protect the rest of the world for its excesses.

Canada sheds some light on what the USA could have become.

Canada spends very little on it's military because the U.S. spends so much on theirs, all that extra can be used for social programs etc. Canada as it is would not have been possible without it's big brother to the south and it has it's problems too.

Not sure why you posted a picture with one of the characters from the film Deliverance, that character was part of the LGBT community, are you homophobic?

And who you propose Canada fights.?
Though it punched far harder than its weight throughout WW2 and did not wait for half time to show up.
It also supports Nato and the UN. with its armed forces.
Canada trades with the USA but does not depend on it. Though it inherits many of its problems from its southern neighbour.
Canada would be a better place with out the influence of the USA.

Many moons ago Canada got involved in a foreign entanglement because it's mother country was in it and because they were bound to. Canada is also part of NATO just as many other countries, many of whom paid far less for their own militaries than they were supposed to for years. Canada would not exist in it's current state without the United States.

For decades, this was actually the intention of the US in order to maintain US preeminence.

And Trump demanded that NATO countries pay their fair share which would reduce reliance on U.S. resources and blood which was a good thing in my opinion.

No, it is to see how the U.S. is viewed from within and without.
