I saw two pigeons engaging in adult entertainment today in the courtyard, and it was rather disturbing the noises the female was making.

It reminded me of that scene where forest Gump as a child was making those noises to mock the man after he commented about how much his mother cares about Gump's education. :D.

The male pigeon had no apparent pick-up lines or game, and the female repeatedly flew to another location, and he pursued her immediately.

    .com.google.Chrome.jpg

It didn't look consensual. I wonder if animals other than humans experience trauma over something like that?

I hear some birds keep the same partner for life. This one didn't look like a long term relationship in the making. :p.

I'm not familiar with their mating habits and no interest in pigeon porn, but judging by the noises being made and the frantic attempts to escape, I'm assuming it wasn't a pleasant experience for the recipient. :p

    Oh wow!

I guess pigeons often keep the same partner and mate for life.

    That's sweet. :heartarrow:

The pair remains faithful to each other for their entire life or until some external element separates them. If either of the mates dies, the other one will mate again with another single pigeon. Usually long distance does not affect the bond between two birds unless there is some influence from an unmated pigeon around it.

Which makes me think of Ra.

There needs to be a Pigeon-head Kemetic Deity with a lifelong spouse he's faithful to.

I'm going to use my imagination and authority with the creator Spirit within, and creative powers , to call forth the All-seeing eye of the Babylonian Pigeon God.

I had two cats(well, there were three total, but only two are relevant here) and a rabbit... the rabbit would force himself on the male cat, and the cat would lay there and yowl.

He made that mistake with the female cat once. He had a crooked ear for a week.

As far as loyalty went, I had two cats at another point(one was the female afore mentioned); Lucky and Helen. Lucky is a pure black cat; a young fellow back then. Helen was a gorgeous long haired grey tabby. Lucky was the cat I took from a roommate(long story), and Helen was a feral that followed me home. I didn't think it would hurt; Lucky was so young. He couldn't possibly...

Well, he did. And he was the best father cat ever. He stayed in the nest almost constantly, and helped Helen diligently care for their young. He played with and entertained them when they got older. He very much loved his babies. We didn't, however, want more. We got him fixed. We were pretty poor, couldn't afford to do both. But, Helen couldn't get herself pregnant....

So she broke out a window and did the job. A second litter came. He heard babies, and happily climbed up to the nest... and stopped. He stared at those pure white kittens. One ear went back. He looked at me. He looked back at them. Both ears went back. He ran out of the room, and him and Helen were friends no more. (And a friend fixed Helen for us, so that wouldn't happen again.)

A pigeon Deity could actually be a patron of or symbolic of sexual purity and fidelity , and commitment, because they don't cheat on their spouse.

It's a good idea, because I want there to be a Babylon the Great Bride of the Anti-antichrist, to reign in place of the "Whore of Babylon" of the Antichrist.

The Anti-antichrist steals the antichrists destiny by twisting and perverting what the Antichrist does, to make it into something good.

Anything is possible. Can't hurt to ask. :D

    Pigeons are loving creatures.

Just what I saw today looked like a pigeon rapist. I suppose there are exceptions to every rule!

That's cool Helen was a Feral who followed you home.

    Omg! omg!

One of the girls I pray for every day is Helena Feral (Your cat being Helen the Feral who followed you. It's like Helena Feral is saying she followed me and found me, not me finding her. I'm so grateful for that. I can't thank you enough, and Helen the Feral Cat enough for that. Did I read your post correctly! Aww....Hugssss)) :)

Helena Farrell I guess is spelled differently, but I always misspelled her name as Helena Feral.

She was made fun of all the time for being Irish , having red hair , and a Posh accent. So she hung herself in the woods with a cold play song on repeat.

    download.jpg

The reason this is so much more than coincidence to me, was last night I was talking with another patient about how long it takes a person to die when they hang themselves, assuming "if they don't drop far, their neck doesn't break," with special mention of people like Helena, Nafisa Joseph, and some of the people I pray to who hung themselves. (I have a friend who claims he brought rope recently and wants to hang himself, which was also part of the conversation.)

It made me think of multiple Kami I pray for who hung themselves, so your mention of Helen the Feral makes me have so much hope that my prayers really are helping her in the next life. I pray every day that her dreams come true! Helena Farrell is second on my list of Capitol Hill Queens, when I chant the litany to them every day. I actually have a total of 83 names memorized by heart that I chant followed by a prayer for their dreams to come true. They occupy a stained glass window in the Temple of my heart and soul.

I receive so many signs. But Helena is one of the ones I felt great heart-break over, and really wanted to know she was okay. Yes, her name is Farrell, but I used to always misspell it Feral. Helena was Irish , and this morning at another website, I posted the Irish flag and said "When I refer to the Holy land, I'm often speaking of Ireland, not Israel". What are the odds?

I'm just glad to know my prayers are helping her some way and I feel like she followed me home like Helen followed you.

Then at med pass right after this post, on the radio, staff says "Did Josh find you?"

Staff responded, "No, I found him".

It's like Helen the Feral cat found you and Helena Farrel found me.

That's the conviction of my heart.

Anyway, it's been years I've been praying for her daily, so it's always good to experience some signs that my prayers are heard and bear fruit even for suicides.

So sad to hear of her story... :( I wish people understood how much influence their words can have on a person... I think her hair is lovely.

My Helen didn't like to be made fun of, either. She used to wear a dress(yes, my cat wore clothing) that was green with white polka dots. She lost it for awhile, but I found it eventually, washed it, and put it back on her. Unfortunately, she'd gained a lot of weight, and it looked really silly on her. But, when her Daddy(my husband) came home, she ran to show him, and he laughed at her and said, "look at you, Fat Girl!" and her expression just dropped. He felt bad, but it was too late.

I remember the night I found her... I was caring for 3 other adults, and for all my trouble, they were treating me really poorly. After getting home from work, and hearing them screech about cigarettes and alcohol, I just took off walking, into the rain. Saw a few cats in the street(that neighborhood was full of ferals); they all ran away. I meowed at them, and one stopped, and came back. She wouldn't let me pet her right away, but she followed beside me. I kept meowing. I started walking home. She kept up behind me. I got home, she came right in and touched Lucky's nose like they knew each other.

My Helen is gone now, too, though. Car hit her... :( She was like a dog and would only potty outside. Sometimes she'd run off for awhile, but she always came back. Then a neighbor called... and that was it. :(

I'm glad my Helen helped make you feel better about your Helena. :)

    Thanks! I'm getting old(I don't think that's a bad thing). :)

Someone made a sort of altar of sorts for him locally... Its a beautiful mural on the side of an abandoned building. I notice sometimes it changes...

We have his face on stained glass windows of cars here in the Twin Cities.

He is becoming omnipresent! Images and paintings of him everywhere.

I'm so sorry your Helen is no longer with us. :(

It's like her Spirit is today. :)

Weird she was made fun of for being fat. The speaker today was an anorexic lady who wrote a book about always seeing herself as fat when she wasn't.

I questioned her about that , because I also pray to an anorexic girl whose suicide note was that she was too fat before she got run over by a train (Tallulah Wilson).

She was actually perfect and pretty. I don't understand the psychology behind it, but no one understands me either so...

Hey, the dress for the cat sounds cute. :)

I kid you not, while the pigeons were mating, a cat chased a squirrel through the courtyard.

I began meowing at the cat, but it ran like a feral lol. So many dots to connect all of a sudden. ;)

I don't know what Hindu Deities you been praying to , but you are being used. ;)

Reminds me to make sure i observe the nine nights of Durga coming up.

Durga, today. I'm trying to make a toran for my door to welcome her into the home for Navaratri, which isn't far off. I spent the little bit of free time I had today on that, and listening to music that honors her.

    It does!

    Durga, ya don't say??

October 7 is feast of our Lady of the Rosary and Our Lady of victories.

It's the anniversary of Lepanto, known as the Naval battle that saved the west. It was attributed to the virgin Mary and the Rosary that crusaders won.

It's one of my favorite feast days.

I could see Durga winning a battle like Lepanto. Durga is a mighty warrior.

I believe she works with Nafisa Joseph in my case, that when I invoke one of them, i invoke them both.

Interesting the rabbit would sexually assault the cat. Was the rabbit larger than the cat?

The female cat taught him a lesson?! Female spiders and scorpions are way more aggressive and violent than males as well, often killing the male during sexual intercourse. Whether or not the spider will be aggressive often depends on gender.

My Chinese Zodiac is the rabbit.

Since my name means the same thing Ted means, and my zodiac is bunny, I thought the Capitol Hill Queens nicknamed me "Ted Bunny" because I pray to Ted Bundy victims.

I heard one of them call me that before knowing the name etymology or connection with Chinese zodiac.

Kami have a sense of humor. They joke, play, have fun, tease. Etc. :)

The rabbit wasn't real large. But, he was just Cortez... he was more like a mix between a frat boy and a dog than a rabbit.

He did. Luckily, he was mature enough not to take it out on the kittens. While he didn't raise them like he did with his own, he was never cruel to them. We kept one; Kore. I had told my husband we wouldn't be keeping any as we had enough cats, but he really wanted a pure white kitten, so I agreed that on the offchance she had one, he could keep it.

Whoops... he did only keep one, though. We found homes for the rest. But, Kore and Lucky are good friends.
