It's about time. This is about his mail-in ballot lies but hopefully they'll do it to many more of his lies now that the ice has been broken.

Twitter labeled Trump tweets with a fact check for the first time

On Tuesday, the social media company highlighted two of Trump's tweets that falsely claimed mail-in ballots would lead to widespread voter fraud.

"Get the facts about mail-in ballots," read a message beneath each tweet. It linked to a fact-check page the platform had created filled with further links and summaries of news articles debunking the assertion.

Twitter said the move was aimed at providing "context" around Trump's remarks. But Twitter's unprecedented decision is likely to raise further questions about its willingness to consistently apply the label to other Trump tweets that have been deemed misleading by third parties, particularly as the president has lobbed baseless allegations against former Rep. Joe Scarborough regarding the death of a congressional staffer years ago.

I've never heard anything about mail-in ballots being fraudulent, except one time several years ago when someone was accused of buying mail-in ballots from people willing to sell theirs. But they were caught rather quickly.

I guess the potential for fraud is greater by mail than if done in person, but it's hard to say how much of it actually happens.

Thats the gist of voter fraud stories as far as I have researched. It happens. It is there, but we dont bug bomb our house because there is a chance there could be termites that need killed. We have so little evidence of an infestation that taking such strong action is tantanount to a witch hunt.

Honestly why people would choose internet/electronic over mail is beyond me.

I'm definitely pro-mail. As others have mentioned, at least its physical evidence that can be counted.

Just one serious question.
Is Twitter going to fact check every post made by everyone?
If not then they are nothing more than a biased dung heap.
