Tunisian democracy or repression?

I know there's a similar thread out there but its in the Islamic DIR.

what does any one foresee in Tunisia ? is this the start of a democracy or will the forces of oppression take control?

Isnt this a golden opportunity for Tunisians and home grown too. I hope it al goes well,Tunisia is at a crossroads, it is still uncertain how the revolution will end in Tunisia. There is still no guarantee that democracy will emerge from the rubble of the Ben Ali dictatorship lets hope it all goes down the right direction.

I think it will be just ok. Some fundamentalists will put fear into the heads of the people and somehow get elected. Or even just get to power through force alone.

May sound a bit pessimistic but i've just not seen a good example from this part of the world before.
