Tucker Carlson Asks: ‘Why Are We Not Sending an Armed Force North’ to Liberate Canada? (Video) (thewrap.com)
I think the U.S. military at some point (I don't recall when it was) made a feasibility study, "just in case" they ever had to invade Canada. I think the conclusion was that we could invade and occupy Canada, but it would never really be controllable. The resistance would make any kind of long-term occupation or attempt at annexation somewhat untenable.
Of course, Carlson was obviously joking and laughing about it, so I don't think Canadians have anything to worry about from America. The worst thing that might happen is America itself might start to unravel, which could spill over into Canada. A lot of American refugees could be heading north if things get too hot down here.
For our Canadian posters here, does America ever make you nervous?
“Why should we stand back and let our biggest trading partner, the country with which we share the longest border … why should we let it become Cuba? Like, why don’t we liberate it?”
