Truth can be seen in many ways, within the religious/ spiritual paths the truth will look different depending on the wisdom level you have cultivated.
The spiritual wisdom get higher the more the person refine him/her self according to the cultivation they do. meaning the higher standard on the morality the more wisdom you understand/obtain
So when discussing a spiritual topic one who have practiced long time in a correct way will see truth differently then someone who just started the journey of cultivation. But in a way both can be correct.

    Any thoughts?

That is something i can not tell you directly, first of all truth of what? secondly, we may see truth in a different way, so to answer your question carefully. Truth in the highest sense do have one answer, but until we are on that wisdom level we can not see the full truth, only parts of it. This count for the spiritual truth. for ordnary life truth can be seen in questions like, what is that and someone pointing at an object. Spiritual truth can often not be pointed at, it has to be understood :)

My answer is not the ultimate truth so people may see my answer as wrong ofcourse.

There is what is: truth. There are images of truth. There are impressions of images of truth. There are an infinite number of different understandings of truth. Very cool! Floating lots and lots of boats.

    "Truth" is relative to understanding.

I like the phrase "Beginners Mind" cause it refers to those who have wisdom involves awareness of the simplicity of life, like a child. The insight, academics, etc are good to know but in Buddhism specifically, it's not the point.

In my opinion, someone who practiced a long time is no different than a beginner. Once there is a difference via experience it becomes ego. If a teacher cant bow to his student. A believer can't throw pearl to swine. A practitioner is bias over who should he talk to about his own spiritual concepts, its ego.

Children dont think that way. We learn that as we get older.

This is the crucial point, in the days of Trump and Fake News; Truth has lost much of its meaning.

As a practitioner of buddhism i try to let go of the ego and not see it from a point of self.
A beginner and a senior practitionar are same except for the inner wisdom that has arisen within th senior

Recognizing this differential of understanding is even more important when thinking of children vs adults vs seniors...in the case of the spiritual you have a metaphorical equivalent within religion. But one could also argue that the religion itself may be comparable to both other religions and to secular society as to its "maturity".

In my view, the higher the spiritual wisdom, the more compassionate and accepting one becomes of others both within and without the particular tradition one comes from. That is because I think that spiritual wisdom generally transcends mundane understanding and the separation of faiths is a mundane aspect of a reality in which we are all human beings with so much more in common in our heads and in our hearts than we have in differences.

Because of the deep commonalities we have, spiritual understanding becomes more and more inclusive as it develops in a person. Exclusive spiritual perspectives indicate an immature spiritual understanding or an immature spiritual community.

Spiritual wisdom is that which teaches us that no matter how much knowledge we have, we still have to assume we know very little. No matter how transcendent we become, we still have to wash the dishes.

So is there an ultimate truth that is fixed and the perception we have of it is based on where we are at? eg: The light exists and the closer you walk towards it the brighter it appears, but in reality it's always been that bright, its only the distance that that changes the deception.

My feeling is that we are all "there", and the truth is not in what we understand, but that we understand.

I think this is largely a product of social media which provides us almost too many soap boxes for people to preach from.

My hope is that in the evolution of social media/the Internet, quality and visibility will become more coordinated. But that is a tricky thing to work out and will require a lot of evolutionary accidents to move forward. Good thing that the system on which such an evolutionary process must work is able to evolve extremely rapidly!

Then if truth is relative is it truth?
