According to the article, they were placed in a region just west of El Paso, although the see-saws were up for only 20 minutes.

Yeah, I wondered why that was. I don't know if a cross-border teeter-totter would violate international law or what.

Yup, it's too bad. But maybe President Biden will help them be put in place for quite some time. That would be fun.

Sometimes, someone does something that so manifests a certain aspect of our nature, they make me proud to be human. It's worth the PTSD I always suffer afterwards from being so forcefully wrenched from my cynicism.

Yeah, after all Tejas was annexed by imperialist expansion - following a process of settlement by Americans to justify the annexation (Sudetenland? Crimea?) - in 1836.

Actually, the annexation of Texas was in 1845. 1836 is when Texas became independent.

    Ah yes, thanks.

The infiltrated Tejas, pre-packed with US settlers, declared independence - and then "joined" the USA. Right.

I quote the Bible if and when it agrees with me:

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
