Trump ordered to pay nearly 355 million in NY fraud case.

To make demands one has to be honest. You were the one that did not understand the explanation that everyone else understood. That pretty much makes it your fault.
Thank you for mimicking me and therefore admitting that you were wrong. You did not like it when your nonsense was fed back to you. And to mimic me you are merely admitting that I was right. I love a win win situation.

Do you know how you could "win". Debate properly. When your claims are shown to be wrong own up to it and try again. Sooner or later you will get it.

Nope, that's not the way proper debate works.
Try again.

" A judge has ordered former President Donald Trump and his companies to pay nearly $355 million in a ruling"

"The former president is also barred from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation or other legal entity in the state for three years, and he cannot apply for loans from any financial institution registered in New York for three years. Meanwhile, his adult sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, have been ordered to pay $4 million for their personal profits from the fraud."

As was expected.
I support Trump on this one.If he had an affair with Stormy Daniels that is his business. If he did not that's his business. The fact he paid hush money is no proof he had an affair. On Wall Street many people including evangelicals have affairs, get divorced multiple times and meet with prostitutes.

Trouble is legally it is cheaper to settle these cases. How one does the bookkeeping is no big deal.A lot of people have said Trump looks beat and exhausted -which might be the whole idea.

Both Democrats and Republicans have leaders caught with their pants down

Why is this trial coming out now? before election time.

If Trump,Ms Marjorie Taylor Greene etc are going to be criticized it should be for the substantial eg kneeling to Putin over Ukraine. The money USA sends means Russia burns up arms and money. Its threat is reduced. We need to be watchful for sleepers who wake to espouse the Russian agenda.

The problem is that during election campaigns funds must be well accounted for. And he still broke the law, even if it was not a campaign but it would be a minor one. It is the combination that moves it up to a felony. For example it would be illegal to pay off a mistress using money from that business and listing it as a "business expense". That would make it tax deductible etc.. He could have paid her off, but you cannot count it as a legitimate business expense.

When one does that as part of a campaign to get elected then it is even worse. One has to call it a campaign expense, and that was never done. The combination of the two makes it a form of money laundering for a political campaign. That is a big no no.

Is having an affair illegal? No. Is paying off a mistress illegal? No. But it is clearly illegal to rob a bank to pay off a mistress. I am not saying that was the case at all, but you can see how that would be illegal. And in the same vein it is illegal to try to get a tax deduction on the payment to the mistress. There is no legitimate "mistress pay off category" for tax deductions.

I support Trump on this one.
This one? I think you are confused about which one "this one" is. It is understandable, as there are so many. But you are replying to my op and the link that are about Trump's bank fraud. Nothing to do with the porn star, or the playboy playmate, or hush money, or the National Enquirer, or campaign finance. The case that this thread is about is over and Trump was found liable and needs to pay. We should be hearing soon if the bond he put up for appeal is good or not. Personally I think that case was decided correctly as Trump has a history of deception. But I have no opinion as to whether the bond he put up should be accepted or not.

As for the Stormy matter, @Subduction Zone is right, if the money was paid for the purpose of helping Donald's political chances without declaring it so, that is illegal. But as I said, that is not what "this one" is about.
