Candace Owens said a personal interaction she had with Trump where he was rude to her led her to change how she feels about him. She says he is too angry and resentful to be a leader and that true leaders can admit they got some stuff wrong.

But it is still disgusting and a sign of Owens character that after all the things Trump has done, after all the things Trump has said, the one thing that makes her rethink her support for his is that he was rude to her.

Right, these folks are opportunists that feed off of each other. They contribute nothing to the process of our nation.

I've watched these folks, and they really can't seem to say anything productive, or truthfulk. I was watchiong Tucker Carlson's show a bit a go and it was Tulsi Gabbard I think as host, and all she had to say was the long list of republican wants, which included eliminating the 87,000 IRS agents, and taking care of our veterans. I wondered why she wanted to cut IRS agents who collect taxes owed by people that will pay for veteran care. Complete garbage. Then she introduced Josh Hawley, and i had enough, as he's a lying specialist.

I suspect the FOX shows are just defaulting to the feel-good soundbite attacks on democrat priorities. Nothing about the election.

Exactly what I thought as well upon reading the article. The "it must first happen to me or it isn't valid" implication is pitiful.

They'd be smart not to pick him in 2024. Someone like DeSantis or Rubio would fare better in a general election.
Except if they don't run Trump, he'll run as an independent and take all his MAGA idiots (and their cash contributions) with him. And you know he's already threatening the republicans with that. So either way they lose. With him or without him. As they deserve to.

Or, I suppose they could offer him a big pile of money not to run. I'm sure Trump is not above such bribery. And neither is the party.

The reason she is not for adding to the IRS is the Democrats have a history of building up the bureaucratic state, which then is used to target political opponents. Bureaucrats are not elected but they allow the Dems do things they would not vote for, publicly; regulatory state. If the IRS was used to target Trump, they could pretend they just woke up and this will be looked into. Luckily, the Supreme Court is starting to see this trend and is forcing Congress to directly vote for things, now assigned to unelected officials, so they can be held accountable at the ballot box.

What would be better than adding an army to the IRS, would be to simplify the tax code, so you get things done with less IRS personnel. This is how you reduce deficit spending. The complexity of the current tax code, which is needed for the leaders to get campaign donations and acquire golden parachutes, is making the job harder for the IRS. The Democrats do not wish to simplify this, since this will reduce their loopholes used for quid pro quo and direct skimming. How do you think leaders get rich on a civil servant salary?

Hey. There's no red wave.

You should be happy that Trump won't win in 2024.

A smart politician wouldn't do that, but an egotistical, spoiled man/child would.

I think Trump will alienate more people close to him in the future, yet stay popular among Americans in general. He'd probably still lose against Biden, though.

It's hopefully a sign that people want to return again to a more dignified and refined demeanor that politicians in the past had expressed with their political office.

I suppose that's possible, but he doesn't need to run for President to make money. So he may threaten that, but he knows he'll lose if he does. And he can't stand to lose. So he probably won't.

Also, the GOP is still interested in winning elections. The more of them that see Trump as an electoral liability, the quicker they'll leave him behind.

But he is also very vindictive, and he can make a lot of money running, that he can keep. Not to mention that if he doesn't run, no one will care about him, anymore. He becomes irrelevant. Can his ego take that?
