Trump for president?

Any objection to this? Anyone OK with this?

I like him, just as much as any other politician. Which isn't much, but I think his character would be interesting in the white house.

He's just a worthless wannabe (as a politician) in the mix taking votes that could possibly go to a Democrat or a Republican.......

He's got no hope of truly being elected President. What a waste of of vote for this man.

Don't get me wrong. I like him as a business man....but that's as far as I'll go.

Trump could never be a politician. This is all just a joke; a diversion to stop people from taking a hard look at the real issues like class warfare in america, the not so veiled attempts to kill off the elderly and disabled, and lack of jobs that will sustain working families. Not to mention taxing the poor to create corporate welfare. The very idea that he could even handle a debate is laughable.

Isn't Trump famous for his multiple bankruptcies and business failures? Do we want an incompetent in charge of a major government department?

Despite all of that he is on Forbes richest list... I personally don't care, I just think he would be an interesting figure in the white house.

Do we really want "interesting people" in the white house? Why can't we have a quiet, competent CEO, for a change?

I think if given the regular crappy choices between republican and democrat, especially if we get someone like Chris Christie or Sarah Palin for the GOP, I would love a third choice of Donald Trump, I would most certainly vote Trump rather than Obama or Christie/Palin. Mainly because it would be something new. I'm sick of this back and forth crap. Trump would do things in the Whitehouse, and has said he will (which isn't much really), that have never been done or thought of. He wouldn't be pawn to the democratic or republican party. If he runs, and I have to choose between him and the normal morons as Dems and Reps then I'll definitely vote Trump. That said, there is no way that this country being as concerned with class warfare and poverty and poor people suffering and evil capitalists and wonderful communism and socialism coming to the rescue would EVER EVER EVER elect someone who is a billion-dollar businessman like Donald Trump. We've grown to hate that image so much that if he got elected it would be nuts. I would run out into the street and rip my hair out because it would be so nuts.It would be like a blatant communist being elected in the 60's. It would just be nuts.

However, if our currency goes capoots and our economy crumbles and we're ripped out of the seat of world reserve before 2012 then maybe people will realize how nuts they've been and vote for him, or at least someone with more fiscal ability than the current guy, who waits until the storm clouds are upon us to say "oh yeah, btw it's going to rain today. Thought I'd let ya know". But who knows. We'll probably elect Obama in 2012, which although is easily predictable, is still so nuts that it will make me run out into the streets and rip my freaking hair out.

Not really. Most people tend to put the 'interesting people' in the office. Which is ridiculous but it's just the way people are. Given the choice between a boring, old and slow talking man who is totally and probably overly qualified for the job and a sharp, well dressed, young and verbal man who has absolutely no idea what he is talking about but knows how to make it sound like he does people tend to choose the young guy. At his 65, Donald Trump is not that young guy and he certainly has some understanding of how to run a company and is a good 'project manager' as I've so often heard. Yet he also is very verbal and very vocal and charismatic.

I'll tell you what I like about Donald Trump most, he's a businessman. He doesn't look to cut losses or even create losses he looks to increase profits. Also I think he could take the two political groups, Democrats and Republicans, and make them get something done. I don't think he would be like Obama and sit back until the last day of the dead line and then say "I expect something in the morning" which were like the first words he uttered pertaining to the subject. It's not that he's an interesting person but rather that it would be interesting to see how he led the nation for 4-8 years. It would certainly be a better investment than voting for a democrat or a republican because look where THAT has gotten us.

But what would be different? You already have a host of incompetents in positions of power. At least Trump would be entertaining, albeit a tad risky.

But, no, I would not vote for "The Donald" myself.

Yeah, we tried that here in Beautiful British Columbia a couple of decades back and voted in William T. Vander Zalm. Boy was that a mistake. The guy has an IQ of a sun-dried tomato but more charisma than god. In person, you cannot help but like the guy. As for the quiet and competent, they are far too smart to take the job.

Four posts?! I expected a "what's the difference?" retort within three replies at most.;)
